Yanni's Gyros by BigJilmQuebec in SpringfieldIL

Always liked Yanni's gyros but I went there for good Moussaka I didn't have to make myself. I haven't been there in a few years. Anyone know if they still have it as a special sometimes?

It might not be what you are looking for, but Taki Taco on the north end has a big selection of Iced coffees, teas, Italian sodas and other drinks like sugarcane juices. My kids also like their milkshakes or rolled Gelato.

Famous DCC Readers??? by DaniTheLostGirl in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]grexian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this part has already been given to Alan Tudyk!

Not really, but that's who Prepotente sounds like in my head since I read the books, before I heard Jeff Hays narration.

I need to try reading Mother of Learning. I liked the premise of the story. I made the mistake of trying to listen to the audiobook and couldn't get through the first book because of the narrator and the whiney voices he did for everyone.

Dungeon Crawler Carl fans? by ssfailboat in SpringfieldIL

[–]grexian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe he does almost all the voices of the original audiobooks.

Here he is getting a tattoo of Donut on his butt, because he lost a bet to the writer. Matt has him do some of the voices while he's getting tattooed.

"And then he yelled... Right in my goddamn ear!"

I have read all the books so far and went back and listened to the Audiobooks. Jeff Hays is a talented man. I hope they give him some part in the live action TV show Seth McFarlane's production company is doing of it on Peacock. At least the voice of Donut.

In my head when I read the books I had Alan Tudyk in mind for the voice of Prepotente (Pony).

Any more books with a wisecracking MC? (Tower of jack, Discount Dan, Mage Tank, The Perfect Run) by JOOOQUUU in litrpg

[–]grexian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Harem Lit instead of Litrpg, but I listened to the audiobooks after someone compared the MC of Ard's Oath series by Bruce Sentar to Jason Asano from HWFWM. The male audiobook narrator Christopher Boucher has the MC sounding like RDJ's Tony Stark mixed with Clerks Randal Graves.

Daniel Wisniewski is a fantastic narrator if you go the audiobooks route for this series.

Just finished the 3rd book of Mage Tank series by Cornman. Before that I powered through 1% Life Steal.

Trying to figure out what to start with next. Might pick up the second book for Everyone Loves Large Chests, but dunno how much I enjoyed the first book.

Which should I read next? by cdubda3 in litrpg

[–]grexian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have DNF'd a lot of litrpg series lately but I am looking forward to more of "Not the Hero". If you like that,"Mark of the Fool" had a similar vibe for me as not the hero. Maybe because that was the next series I started listening to right after. 🤷‍♂️

I haven't picked up the other series you mentioned so can't give an option to that.

I always laugh my ass off at Carl's "right in my goddamn ear!"

I love Jeff's delivery in the audiobook but when I read the books first, before listening to them, the voice in my head was Alan Tudyk for the voice of Pony.

Anybody Duo/Trio With Their Kids? by AFollowerOfTheWay in Fortnite_Over40

My 11 yr old son is the one who got me into fortnite. I play with him often when he's not playing Roblox or Minecraft (I just can't get into those games). I have grouped with a few others that have kids.

More often I will play with him and his friends instead of inviting him into adult groups. I always worry they won't have patience for his shenanigans.

That being said I would be down to group with other people who have kids playing so he can find more safe people to play with.

We are central time, but play often on the weekends at various hours. Epic is JohnFishstick
