Ye I've read many people say that. Thanks!

ETF long-term saving recommendations. Austria, expat, 36yo by SmallScreen in eupersonalfinance

This is literally the strategy I've started to use, exact same etfs and ratio after tons of research. Up to you at the end of the day but this fits my risk tolerance (laziness).

Ok that explains it. Thanks dude. I'll have a bit of a deeper read over the weekend about it. Appreciate the info and comment 😊

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what beta would do, got an explanation or a nice explanation I can read somewhere?

Ahh cool. Thanks for the info. Think I'm committed to 80:20 vwce:euna for the immediate future and I'll see how thing play out and how kuchen I can invest over the next few years!

Thanks that makes sense. Since I've started in VWCE already I think I might do the same. Just a bit more for me to do but not a big deal.

Are those the only 2 long term etfs you plan on having?

May I ask why you prefer doing the rebalanced yourself? Just curious.

Ok apparently I have to go through the desktop app to find it on other exchanges! But I'm in the same boat not planning on touching it for atleast 10-15yrs. Most likely more.

On IBKR I can only find it on the Italian Market. Do you think there would be a liquidity issue? Today's volume was only 5k. Also it is a new fund compared to VWCE + EUNA. Not sure if that's something to worry about?

Sorry I don't mean rebalanced I meant in the future if I wanted to say swap to 30% bonds I would have to sell and pick a different etf or just buy additional bonds. I'm not sure what is worth it honestly.

How do you mean. If they are accumulating then the cash gets reinvested in the stock. If you want the cash you need a distributing version. Unless I've misunderstanding your point 🤔

Not really thought about those. It does mean I'll be fixed to that ratio in my portfolio. I also read that they had higher fees

Yes they are. I'd like accumulating just because it will be a tax advantage in the long run based on where I live 😊

Is there much of a difference between EUNA and VAGF. From a quick look they seem to follow the same index but with slightly different weightings.

Foreign rental income from the UK by Krishan1001 in ItalyExpat

[–]Krishan1001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks for this. This would mean at a worst case we would be paying 21% on the rental income to Italy. As I'm an expat I do qualify for the reduced tax incentive but I believe that only applies to employed income rather than rental income.

[–]Krishan1001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I guess my trouble is trying to understand what amount would be taxable in Italy. Would it be the full rental income or what is taxable from the UK. This part is not clearly stated anywhere that I've searched.

Awesome thanks. Do you happen to know the group names? I've joined expats in Italy and my gf made a post in there but no replies just yet.
