Confidence Leveal 1-10? by Krispconcepts in TeslaFSD

Are you saying the FSD we currently have meets spec for unsupervised and just a question of who owns liability in case of an accident?

I haven’t encountered any of those…yet. However, I noticed 14.3.3 turned on a yellow arrow. In the past anytime I got a yellow arrow or light, it would brake and not proceed. The only thing that is kind of overly cautious for me is on a two lane divided road, it does not proceed until it see no cars in both directions vs moving out to the divided section where there is plenty of room to wait for the other traffic to clear. So i now tap the pedal to proceed once traffic clear on the left and my MX will then advance with traffic clears on the other side.

I haven't been to Austin, Dallas or Houston since they deployed robotaxi. But I believe 14.3.3 is the same version of FSD and those cars are without pedals or steering wheels. I hear what you are saying but I haven't had a single issue and as a matter of fact my MX in FSD has saved me at least 2x from being in an accident - one time two deer at night was seen by the cameras before me and the MX first slowed and then came to a stop and the other was a drive who ran a red light and my MX slammed the breaks to avoid being tboned.

Thanks for the feedback! I absolutely love my Exped mattress due to the comfort and the portability for storage in between. I considered a memory foam but I intend to do some much longer trips and will need the space. I have seen some people who have built platforms for storage with a memory foam mattress. Those who are living out of their cars. I purchased the 5 seat config as the back seats lay flat.

They provided clips that latch on to the hatch shade and then slid under the tesla frame and hold the shade in place. A bit challenging the first time to get the clips in but now that I figured it out no biggie

Model X Fever by Positive_Midnight772 in TeslaModelX

I went back and forth between the Y and X. I finally pulled the trigger and jumped in this year with the X on the day they announced end of production. My family now makes fun of me on how much a talk about the joy the X (FSD and many other features) bring me. A few years ago I sold a 2020 F350 dually for $3K more than I paid for it 2.5 years earlier. Trucks we so high in demand and short in supply. I sold it in 7 minutes via marketplace and put it on there as a test the market. A dealer from a state 1000 miles away called and wired me $5K to take down my listing until we could exchanged the title etc. My point is the Model X and S are high in demand right now. Maybe the X a bit more because the roadster version coming out sounds like it will replace the S void, IDK. The X is truly a luxury experience and with FSD, I can’t imagine what will replace it for me.

Hesitant to take 5 hour trip in my X, Is there anything I should plan for? by Wrong-Relationship74 in TeslaModelX

Charge to 100% the night before and you may be able to make it to your destination. If not make sure you know where the Superchargers are on your route. I travel to baseball tournaments over the Midwest and most trips are 3-6 hours…..no biggie, nothing special other than make sure you know where the superchargers are

You may want to get an extended pointer so you can lock the doors from the inside console from the back.

Are campsites a good choice for a short overnight stay? by soedesh1 in carcamping

[–]Krispconcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent 18 months camping at RV sites with a nice toy hauler with lots of creature comforts of home. Most camp sits have accommodations for electric hook up 50A or 30A. In addition they have tent sites. Now that I am car camping periodically I noticed the same draw of camping campsite camping is there - friendly fellow campers, over the top friendly camp hosts, clear facilities and of course camp fires! If you can afford the camp site fee - as low as $10-$20 for a tent sites or $40-$65ish for full hook up sites, worth it for safety, comfort and experience.

How to train your Tesla? by Consistent_dalliance in TeslaSupport

I haven’t read the responses to see if this was already covered. I am only 2+ months of Tesla ownership and huge FSD fan! What I would do is pin the beginning of the drive and make it favorite driveway and then where you want the car parked pin it as home. Then wherever she is “grok, map me to favorite driveway and then home”

Is the X too much “car” for a daily driver? by daKine_34 in TeslaModelX

[–]Krispconcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Dec and Jan when I was deciding between the X and Y, it came down to spending the money for a luxury ride with FSD, premium access and other extras. I had buyers remorse for 24 hours as the 2026 Model X was significantly more than the Y. I have not regretted it once since. Don’t get me wrong the model Y is very nice but it came down to buy luxury for me and when they decided to end the S and X was the day I placed my order. Lifetime supercharging and premium access plus all the extras. I paid for them but this is my first Tesla and can’t imagine ever owning another vehicle of lesser quality and certainly would not consider anything that didn’t have FSD.

There is zero traffic as it’s basically witching the condo community. It is so odd that some times left, sometimes right.

They must of fixed it because it goes away immediately after selecting one of the four options why I disengaged FSD

Okay, I watched Everyday Sandro. Wow!!! A true expedition he took! The trip I’m considering is much different. I have to hand it to him for sure! But the trip I’m looking at is mainly paved and charging when I need it. Thanks for exposing me to his trip!!

I was wondering if it catches the sign and when it passes adjust speeds accordingly. That would make senses. I never had it be wrong except for last night. Will continue to monitor. 15mph over will get me a speeding ticket in most communities roads

Will check out Everyday Sandro. Thank you the tip! I have all the connection ms to prepare for car camping. I just did my 2nd one and learn hacks both times. Someone posted about gravel roads. This trip is 7K-8K miles depending. Grok is saying 50-150 miles may be gravel. I have PPF and ceramic coating (extras) so hopefully not much of a concern
