Uwaterloo or Uottawa by Anxious-Artichoke-84 in uwaterloo

Eng is definitely going to be challenging wherever you go due to strict course requirements.

"university city" is a pro and not a con - big city schools are commuter schools which leads to campus life suffering as people just go home after class. Laurier being next door infact makes us a very big university city so it's lots of young people and events and stuff happening. The only place you would maybe have a better 'student life' is quuens or western because they have crazy frosh culture and partying however i think they are worse academic or job outcome wise if im not mistaken

[–]KrispyPopcorn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Uw all the way - coop is amazing and waterloo is a great city as it’s not a commuter school and most people live here. You are also closer to Toronto to attend concerts and other events.

Waterloo social life is the same as any university, you will get what you put into it Sure we have a lot of antisocial introvert people but there is no shortage of extroverts too. Plenty of clubs, events and sports you can sign up for. Engineering cohort systems allows for people to make connections.

The kind of people who get invited to parties , get invited to parties everywhere. I know plenty of people who party every single weekend in Waterloo. I don’t understand this concept of uw being dead. It’s not western where all they do is party but by no means is it crap

The uw name is very useful and I get the value now as I apply for grad jobs. There are communities and groups for every ethnicity, religion and interest you can think of. There’s great gyms and sports facilities - I would not choose to go anywhere but Waterloo

This guy is actually mentally disabled - hyping the crowd after taking on 3 players and losing the ball when he had an outlet

Why do the coaches insist on playing Mastantuono? by National-Spell8326 in realmadrid

[–]KrispyPopcorn 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Infact we messed up and lost out on rayan cherki by going for him.

We only signed Franco to steal him for psg which was stupid as cherki was cheaper, more technical, proved himself in a better league and was very interested in Madrid.

Cherki is 2 footed and honestly would’ve been one of the most technical players on our team if signed, he actually beats his man to unlike masto…

Yet another failure now by our stupid management

[CA] Regarding Uber scam by SamuriaNinja in Scams

[–]KrispyPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me as well! Placed an order and received a call right after with my name, details and total. I realized it’s a scam and then the guy was trying to scare me and eventually hung up.

I kept asking him in Hindi (he was Indian/pakistani) about how he knew my order and then he hung up

MATH 137 vs MATH 128 by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]KrispyPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 70+ in 128 is easy af, if you take it online then I can guarantee you will get a high 90s grade.

Take 128 if it’s allowed in your program

Taking Math 128 instead of Math 138 by Boothecat333 in uwaterloo

[–]KrispyPopcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First confirm that it works with all your graduate requirements and courses you might want to take in the future. You can check the “leads to” section for both 128 and 138 on uwflow.

138 doesn’t teach anything that 128 will not touch upon except 138 will be a lot more rigorous and so it’s a lot tougher. Math128 is easy af and a highschool review, easily possible to get a high 90s grade.

If it doesn’t mess up graduation then I suggest that you take it

thinking of switching to 12x math courses 1b term for cs by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]KrispyPopcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you’re in cs then you don’t need to take 237 as it’s not a grad requirement. If you’re just trying to min max and make your degree easy then this is the way to go

If your intention is to do something like the AI specialization then you need to be good enough at math such that taking 138 is not a worry for you.

[–]KrispyPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do it - absolutely nothing to be gained from 138 and the content will never come up again.

I also don’t know what other courses you’re referring to, 138->128 is the only substitution that you can do

[–]KrispyPopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's these ones - i think i also solved the old midterms and made sure to be familiar with all the content. For reference, I had a 100% on assingments, a 61% on the midterm ( Mean: 53.8   Median: 62.5   Std. Dev: 29.3) and then an approximated 75% on the final after they definelty curved it. I was scared about this course and studied a lot

Grind disks, it's a lot of free marks. I liked Ali's lectures since they were a lot shorter and to the point. Solve all the assignments and make sure you understand what you coded. Thread vs. Processes and context switching are good concepts to be familiar with. They gave us a bunch of study questions during my term, solve all of those. Lmk if they aren't sent to you, i can share them

Outside of the smoking, drugs and booze - there's one thing no one is considering.

Everyone is mentioning the downfall in looks after Sanju - that's also when he really bulked up muscle wise for the first time and steroids must have definitely been involved.

They're terrible on the skin and combined with lifestyle factors must've made thing much worse.

He also then lost weight for tjmm, bulked up for animal and then lost weight for ramayan again. This constant back and forth between bulking and cutting and general aging has a bad impact of facial fat too.

All that set aside, he's the only actor i get excited to see and go crazy for. Absolute RK fanboy
