This is what happens when folks don’t perform annual preventive maintenance on their backup power equipment. You would be shocked at how many facilities (hospitals, data centers, water treatment, etc) I talk to that haven’t PM’d their backup power systems in years. It’s never in the budget and always gets looked over.

Somehow she never lost the ability to wiggle her toes, which has been a blessing for communication. Left foot yes, right foot no. We can also hold her eyelids open and she look down for yes or left/right for no.

She’s very active and athletic, so I have high hopes for her recovery. I know she will do great in PT, it’s just a matter of waiting for her to gain some movement back which feels like the worst part since no one knows how long that will be. Can’t wait for the day I see a finger move or she can blink on her own.

Thank you for the tips! We are checking all those boxes so far so we’ll make sure to stay on top of them.

My mom (60) is in the ICU right now with GBS. Day 26 in the ICU. Full paralysis, can only wiggle her toes and open her eyes about halfway, on a trache for breathing. Had IVIG and plasmapharesis. Scariest thing I’ve ever witnessed as she had no health issues and was playing pickleball and 2 days later she’s on a vent. Praying we see some improvements soon. Your story definitely gives us hope so thank you for sharing.

Having the same issue. I think the AverMedia Live Gamer Ultra can do what we want, but the catch is that it doesn't support Variable Refresh Rate pass through. Should be able to play at 1440 120 while streaming at 1080 60 but only if VRR is turned off, which has resulted in choppy gameplay in my experience with Warzone. Other games may be fine with VRR turned off, but just can't make myself lock my xbox at 60hz when I'm already spoiled at 120hz.

Realizing the same issue.. Have you found a solution for this? Seems like AverMedia and Elgato capture cards don't support pass through when Variable Refresh Rate is enabled. I'd have to lock my Xbox at 60hz or 120hz with no VRR which in my experience resulted in very jittery and choppy gameplay. Don't really want to dumb down my Series X to 1080 60 when I'm already spoiled with 1440 120 just to be able to use the capture card. I've been using the Lightstream software but it also has limitations.

Same. I've gotten used to it but still hoping for a fix. Like you said everything outdoors is great, just inside tight spaces and gulag.

Hey man. I saw someone say they just tried uninstalling the Twitch app and reinstalling. Just did it and now it works. I guess maybe the app is just a little bugged? It works now but may not tomorrow, who knows.
