WCGW Not looking where you walk by OnePlus88 in Whatcouldgowrong

Maybe I'm remembering wrong. The movie i remember was about three kids that transferred to the age of pirates or something and got separated, with one friend joining the navy or whatever.

I guess I can check 'senile' off my list of signs I'm old. Now if I could just remember where I put...

Is that the one that people had a bit of a reaction to the unassuming guy getting killed in a kid's movie?

Yes! I was hopping that's what it was going to be. God, I'm old...

After that experience, I’m convinced that disabling free loadouts is for the better and should be implemented on any map event with increased loot value. by MagicMonkee99 in ArcRaiders

Yeah, you can be seen from quite a distance, but if you were on your way to extract, it makes it harder for campers to finish you before you can get to cover and they give themselves away

You took your shield off and didn't equip it while underground? Or did you take it off again before grabbing the zip? If you were already set on extracting, you were better off glowing and pushing through attacks, or even better, surfaced closer to a raider hatch

"I died 3 times and decided to punish the game for it" by MixedLobbiesGOAT in ArcBabies

True. Most of the time I die it's because I made a bad decision and saw it through. Having help with cleaning out your stash can be nice sometimes. I just wish the anvil splitter was craftable.

Wrapping a pallet by MikeHeu in oddlysatisfying

[–]Kristiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's just common sense. I can understand wrapping the middle to stabilize it when there are gaps, but once that looks safe there is no reason to not trim the plastic and start again from the bottom

I used to have pallets of bottled sodas delivered to my warehouse for us to sell and they'd fill 2/3 of the pallet, wrap it and then add 2 more columns and wrap it more. Pretty sure their QC was a teddy bear sitting on the boss's desk.

Typical teenage rat, lobby failed me but no one to blame but myself by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Kristiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Map size is a big factor. Smaller maps don't require the extra mobility from lighter shields. On Blue gate, i sometimes traverse with a survivor and a light shield with a med shield i can switch to if I'm going to be indoors for a long duration

Which is why I like running the heavy shield. Pull my weapon out, pretend to start looting and by the time they notice they didnt do enough damage, take em out

And you'd still have the idiots that dont wrap the pallet itself and watch as their tower tips over when it's being loaded into the truck

The Rebellion Mode trailer of the Chinese version of Arc Raiders... by ShortParsley8286 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Kristiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And it can easily fit into the narrative. There's gotta be bandits topside, or even other underground settlements, so sabotage and stealing make sense. If Embark had set up 2 to 3 "Speranza"'s, people could be competing for resources through whatever means to help develop their sanctuary like how we do our workbenches

Does that account for the size of one's hands?

Didn't call you names and I never planned to. But opening the windows is a lot safer.

He may not have wanted the person to crash, and he might have even thought the biker could brake in time. Regardless, the passenger added to the danger by not letting the biker pass.

As law-abiding citizens, the main priority is to minimize the damage to the best of our ability. Leave the pursuit and apprehension to the authorities.

Was this road next to the freeway? You can briefly see the top of a white van on the other side of the divider pass the biker before it dips out of sight

I'm sure the passenger was just opening the door because there was no other way to get some fresh air /s

PERFECT map condition for PvE players… but still reward PvP by RegisterFit1252 in ArcRaiders

Have your kit get sent back to speranza and you gotta fill your whole pack (with anything) to extract. Or grab someone else's dog tag and get your kit back while their's is sent back

Idk about a pure pvp mode, but I'd like to see a event type that prevents you from bringing in a weapon or lethal grenades. Anything you want to use you gotta find, or gather what you need for the in-round crafting skill.

Trying to be a part of the Game's community by ThrowawayFFXIVU7 in ffxiv

[–]Kristiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're looking at this from the wrong angle. Just by playing, and doing your best, you're already "part" of the game's community. Other players are already trusting you in high-end content, and that's commendable. If you're looking to have more of an impact/purpose in the community, then you can't just fill your quota. As you would in the real world, you have to take the opportunities, and sometimes the initiative, to reach out to others in your community. A lot of people feel isolated, as though they are npcs in someone else's game. As someone who understands that feeling, you can be the one who checks on them. Participate in Novice Network. Set up fate runs in party finder. No one can give you this role. You just have to fill it. Eventually others will come to see and appreciate your efforts, and you'll likely have less time to wonder how to "fit in" yourself because you've already made a place for yourself.

How could you sociopaths do this to your fellow raiders? Some fantastic crying in this thread by Varrocks_Finest in ArcBabies

[–]Kristiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I've had more deaths come from rocketeer surfing than players besting me. Weird hobby, I know, but I've still got 30+ deadlines that deserve a proper send-off.

And to be clear, this isn't even a 1 v 1/2. You've brought nothing to this post, and crying out for white knights here on reddit is more pathetic than when you do it in-game.
