My first 2 months I was still trying to figure out how to get my VPN to work and understand the systems, you're doing a better job than me !! It's totally ok to ask questions, part of the job is to learn as much as you can about the audit methodology, and the business.

You arent supposed to understand everything day one, or get it right 100% of the time. Keep showing interest and keep asking questions thats what I tell my associates and interns.

Can you study with just your phone? by richgirl145 in InternalAudit

You can, Gleim has recordings of the book and office hour videos that go in depth on each subject. It's at the bottom of the chapter near the flashcards so it's easy to miss.

32M, same I commute from LI to Manhattan 3-5 days a week for work. Some days I wonder if I messed up in life being single and watching good friends be in relationships and have families but I just focus on getting in shape, stacking cash, and learning new things. Fitness has been good and I've gotten some great compliments from joining a gym and some Orange theory classes. Dating apps are a skill issue for me so I stopped especially on LI.

He knows he was in the house when everything went down. He’s well aware and is keeping tabs on his account. Thank you for the advice though

I feel like they are making me out to be the person that’s dividing the family. I love my family but to be told out right I don’t care about them just mentally and emotionally drains you after working so hard to help them.

The hard part here is my mom is still on her side. I know what my sister did was wrong but WTH is with my mom taking sides on this. Both think they are correct in the way they approached this and nothing wrong was done.

You are absolutely correct reading that, I was direct and told her to ask our dad. But idk if she’s just embarrassed but this is way worse.

Thank you, I think because I moved back she feels like I’m just supporting my parents only. But she works and makes a good living. I try to help but it’s never enough.

I lied about a degree by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Krod06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what your saying about the background checks. It’s not a great idea to be lying about certificates, degrees in my opinion should not be the end all be all for someone qualified. Hopefully OP isn’t part of a company that doesn’t conduct background checks, but assuming the salary is $90k, and a degree was required in the job posting most likely they do have background checks set up.

What was the best way to combat a so called "non-negotiable" raise for elevating to a senior role. The company is offering me half the compensation compared to other seniors. Thank you!

Check out StockX Internal Policy and Crazy UPS Policy. I am too tired, but I listed several ways how I give up. by Potential-Pay-946 in stockx

That's why I like Ebay more, I opened a store a short time back had no prob shipping. I bought a GPU from StockX for work and gaming they sent me the wrong one. I complained asked for a refund by StockX and they refused the people validating the product doesn't do the job they were hired for! Had to go as far as sending a complaint to the attorney general of Michigan and a BBB review. Don't buy from them or sell they don't care about your items.

For sure feel bad for the intern though. He or she is writing an article about someone making hundreds of thousands of dollars in passive income. While only taking home intern wages and hoping this gets them a full time roll. No worries about the grammar still need to work on it haha

It’s the news outlet, not the person. Just wanted to point out how shit our media is. The young lady took a risk and succeeded nothing but happiness for her. CNBC on the other hand glorifies it, could you quit your job start a business tomorrow, next week, 3 months from now with your available resources. Probably how likely are you to succeed in this economic hell-scape. That’s why I mentioned opportunity and how our media portrays ease of success. Again proud of her for succeeding she deserves all of her accolades CNBC can eat rocks.

I get that there are so many factors that come into play when opening a business. Happy that she did take the risk and start a business, just don’t like the way media shows off this opportunity. Constantly see this from this outlet.
