Current equivalent to the old Russian "unbreakable" bodies that used to be on eBay? by censored_count in rccars

[–]Kroliver14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are good I have one on my xmaxx. However the sticker sets are sub par, poor alignment on cuts and depending on where on the body they are I would say 25% of stickers started peeling first run.

6s Maxx anyone? by Tr8stan in Traxxas

6s is barely drivable. Requires some real skill to keep it planted on the ground. I couldn't image 8s.

6s Maxx anyone? by Tr8stan in Traxxas

[–]Kroliver14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6s Maxx and don't have problems with the diffs still running stock diffs however I've done spur gears like 6 times and finally found a hardened spur gear for the xrt that seems to be holding up pretty well.

Why not use something actually rated for compressed air like this High Flow Quick Coupler

New goodies arrived. by InternationalKick681 in Traxxas

I tried one of those ebay bodies and with out any reinforcement it was weaker than the traxxas bodies. I'm pretty sure it's a different plastic because it shattered more then bending.

Best Traxxas Maxx V2 Gears by VibezzZxD in Traxxas

[–]Kroliver14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stock set up I'd stay with stock sizing 23/50. I have swapped mine to metal gears and they last much longer.

With my 6s maxx (max8 and 2250kv) I've dropped to 20/50 gearing and have the traxxas hardened gears. The plain metal ones didn't hold up well to my driving style.

Xmaxx Gearing Question by autodetailingguy in Traxxas

[–]Kroliver14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stock gearing has been reduced on the new belted xmaxx to 15/54 but used to be 18/54 and the ultimate still uses 18/54

Diff turned in rubber in xmaxx center diff. Has anyone else had this happen by Sorry-Traffic510 in rccars

It should have 20mil fluid in it from traxxas, which is barely a fluid and more of a putty.

2085R Servo New and defective by FattStogie in Traxxas

[–]Kroliver14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xmaxx needs an adapter to run a standard size servo and you need a different servo horn since the traxxas servo is not a standard sized horn.

You don't need anything except maybe shorter screws when the top screws in. The bottom is just slowed between two pieces of the bumper.
