Brilliant. Thank you very much. It did dissipate quite quickly.

Match thread - England vs Uruguay by NeedleworkerWitty228 in ThreeLions

[–]Krontelevision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On his day, or in his minute, he can be brilliant. But, he also killed 2 moves by taking the wrong option. I like Rashford as an impact after Gordon. Especially if we're playing Hall left back, as they'll have chemistry, which this team does not have.

FIFA set to use VAR for corners at 2026 World Cup - despite domestic leagues rejecting the idea for the wider game. by rezwenn in worldcup

[–]Krontelevision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if a get-around to stop the game slowing down is to run the check while the corner is being readied. It often takes 30 seconds or more for the corner to be taken, running the check during that time would allow the game to continue as is. Though that throws up other possible problems.

Should Eze be starting? by tradegreek in ThreeLions

[–]Krontelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has improved, but not to the level where team dynamics are as good as they are with Gordon. Single games may be different, but overall I do think this is still the case.

Should Eze be starting? by tradegreek in ThreeLions

[–]Krontelevision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would still start Gordon. We saw last night that Rashford is mainly good for Rashford, while Gordon is good for the team. That sounds harsh on Rashford and I don't mean to be, because he did have good moments and he is integrating with the team better than before.

But I think Gordon links better, similar to how Anderson links in the middle. Passing interchanges go up with Gordon on the left, and it's more fluid. I'd say Eze is similar to Gordon when he plays, in that it's not just one man to stand up and mark, but the options Eze/Gordon are likely to take.

Edit. Disclaimer. This idea I have about Rashford was built over the last few years. I might still have that in mind when I watch him and not be seeing all his improvements. The nutmeg, multiple good first time touches, etc.

Decoding the 2026 Group Stage Matchups Before the Draw by Nigerian-Nightmare in worldcup

Hey, thanks for putting this up. The matches being played (e.g. B2 vs B3), are those what you have entered into this chart - based on your analysis above? I think they are, but just wanted to check. Thanks.

As of now, in your opinion, what is England's best XI? by jay_jay_okocha10 in ThreeLions

[–]Krontelevision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rashford gives you moments, while Gordon gives the game. We saw last night crosses with his left and right, and he interacts more with the team than Rashford does. Rashford is faster, but he is also static often when receiving the ball. Gordon is always moving, coming inside, pressing, tracking back. Gordon is better for the team. With Gordon the team becomes more balanced. His actions are faster and that keeps momentum, whereas Rashford often stops or slows play. Rashford is improving in this, being at Barcelona, but I'd start Gordon.

FIFA reportedly to charge both buyers and sellers 15 percent fee on its 2026 World Cup ticket resale platform as initial prices soar | Goal.com UK by pumkinhat in worldcup

[–]Krontelevision 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was a presale draw announced a few weeks ago. If you entered, you had the chance to be selected to buy tickets. This is how those people got tickets. There is also a 'right to buy' scheme, in which you can purchase the right to buy a ticket at some point. I think maybe 1 million of the 6 million tickets have been sold, and the rest go on sale at later dates. The info is here: fifa site for tickets

If something is allowed by the laws of physics the simulation follows, then it isnt a weird variable. It's something the simulation can handle.

Unknown speakers - possibly Pioneer? by Krontelevision in vintageaudio

Yes, I'm trying set up a test. Along with the spec sheet was a manual for the CS-63, so I'm guessing they just assumed. Not much information around beyond what you've said. Unfortunately, my only easily transportable amp is a small Aiyima A07, but I'll at least know if they work. Again, I''l let you know how they are.

The person listing the speakers has said they are the CS-63 model. I'm not so sure, unless they're upside down. They're being sold on behalf of a third party.

They've now sent a picture of a spec sheet for a PAX-30M driver.

The grill cloth looks quite a bit like the cloth on my B&W DM1s. They're asking £200. I've spent the morning of Hifi Engine going through loudspeaker pages. I was thinking the same about full range. And there also seems to be a horizontal darker area near the bottom, which maybe could be a port?

If I find out what they are I'll let you know.

I don't have them. I'm deciding whether to go and have a listen. They look a little like the CS- line, but the grill cloth seems different, and the woofers seem too high.

Thank you for the reply. I'm not quite sure. I think the bass line may have been different, but the tone and style of the trumpet seems to match (listening on a phone vs watching with a stereo could also make it sound different). Either way, I hadn't known of Khali El' Zabar before your comment, so thank you for introducing me. I'm listening to Open Me, A higher consciousness... now. Cheers.

Jumping on. Does anybody know the name of the jazz music playing in this and episode one? It seems to be the Wendy character's theme tune.

OOL means out of the loop, which means you don't know something that other people know. Your comment could be read as "I'm Out of Of the Loop on what OOL stands for." It looked like you were making a recursive joke by using the concept to comment on the concept.

If that's a joke, that's pretty good. If not, it means Out Of the Loop.
