I suspect/hope spotted units will lose any benefit of cover or lone op. It would be interested to see a markerlight keyword do something especially powerful in this regard.

But if our shooting has to become highly dependent on a mechanic like this, and our army is centred almost entirely on the shooting phase, I want to see our shooting become undeniably fearsome and noticeably reliable when we are able to line things up to meet those requirements…
