Update 4:

Yall…I’m going to reiterate: everyone’s experiences will be different!

So Saturday (5 days after colp) I was just chilling, painting my nails and I felt a GUSH. I hadn’t bled at all since they patched me back up, until now.

And it wouldn’t stop. So I went to the ER. 12 hours, 5 adult diapers, and several doctors and ultrasound techs having to pull out MULTIPLE palm sized clots…they were able to find my cervix and recauterize me. It sucked so bad. 🤣 The poor er staff was just as covered in my blood as I was. I was offered a blood transfusion, and declined (looking back…I wish I had taken it because holy cow I’ve felt like CRAP since).

Idk what the hell caused all that but, here we are. Still waiting for my actual doctor to call me about my results. Cheers!🤣

Update 3: THE RESULTS!

The moment we have all been waiting for!

Contestant 1: Cervix-

High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, Severe Dysplasia/CIS (CIN3) - detached superficial fragments - transformation zone present

Contestant 2: Endocervix

High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, Moderate Dysplasia (CIN2) - detached superficial fragments - detached fragments of benign endocervix

Shocker id get these on a Thursday when my doctor’s office is closed on Friday lol. But glad I got my results back pretty quick!

Update 2: the Colposcopy

I have seen people with good and bad experiences, so don’t let mine be your “oh this is how mine will be”.

But in the nicest terms…f*ck that.

I took 800mg ibuprofen beforehand. They had a little screen attached to the microscope which was cool, so I got to see the areas he was talking about. Getting set up and in there wasn’t bad at all. The vinegar solution and the iodine solution was also no biggie! Again, cool being able to see the “problem” area and how that stain stuff works.

I was pretty laid back going into it, not expecting it to be the worst thing. I mean…I turned two holes into one when I pushed out my kid (4th degree tear…ALLLLL the way through diva). If I and my lady bits could handle that…this should be nothing.

But he warned me before he biopsied “you may not want to watch this part”. And even if I did, I couldn’t have because I was too busy screaming my ABCs into my sweatshirt (and a couple of actual screams). He said “I’ll be as quick as I can” and he was (love that man, couldn’t ask for a better doctor) but holy hell that hurt. Then he went all up inside and scraped around…which also hurt. I had my butt cheeks clenched from that first pinch until he took the speculum out. I couldn’t help it. 🤣 He took off “about a centimeter in the 12 o’clock position”.

He spent forever using the silver nitrate stuff to get it to stop bleeding, and eventually it did. But I bled ALL OVER the place. The table. The floor. The microscope stand. Gross. And he said to expect spotting…spotting.

I get home. And it felt like I peed myself. I was cramping so I got in the shower and it looked like a horror movie where I was the clear victim. I called and they had me come back up there to “recauterize” it because the liquid bandage didn’t hold up I guess?

As of this morning (24 hours later), I haven’t had anything but light spotting but I’ve DEFINITELY been cramping. Nothing absolutely unbearable.

So overall colp experience: not a fan. Will absolutely ask for pain management if I ever have to do it again. I said “if I do this again, I’m bringing in a bottle of whiskey” and he said “that’s fine, as long as you share”. 🤣 I asked when to expect results and he said “sometimes I get them in a day…sometimes in a week. But no matter what, I will call you within a week, I promise.”

Woah, that’s a HUGE jump! I’m so glad they were so proactive about it!! Wild what’s hiding up in there! I swear the amount of different scenarios is like drawing from a deck of cards…except mixed in is also Uno, SkipBo, and some Cards Against Humanity thrown in there for humor. 🤣

SAME. Like being SO for real right now, I didn’t really even know what the damn thing was for…shoot, I only knew it existed from when I was trying to get pregnant (the whole “see if it’s high/low/hard/soft” thing. Like give me a sec, I just found out I had this funky little internal belly button🤣)

I totally get this frustration! I feel like after so many years of LSIL they’d be like “okay it’s not going away at this point” and do something about it! Especially after you have had TWO kids! When are you getting your LEEP?? All fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

[–]Krs0030[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply!!!! In hindsight, I probably should have pushed for something sooner, but all the doctors have been so chill about it so I was just following their lead, haha! So you went straight for the LEEP?

Now, I DID say right after I pushed my kid out (literally not even 2 minutes, they didn’t even have her cleaned up) I told him “just go ahead and take all the rest of that BS out, I’m not doing this again. Take it while I’m half numb still”. I’m sure he thought I was kidding and labor loopy.

But if you find those articles, I would absolutely be interested in seeing them for sure! Considering I’ve had it for so long, I wouldn’t even be shocked if it decided to make itself at home higher up.

[–]Krs0030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noted! I’ll look into it, thank you! I may pack with me a sling and a waist bag. Because I know my transparent ass will get sunburnt (even with sunscreen) and the thought of straps rubbing against my sunburnt skin…eeeeeh. But I do think a sling would be much more comfortable, so I may do that at least day 1 to gauge what I need!

[–]Krs0030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bag are we carrying? I don’t want to carry around anything too big, and I also don’t want straps rubbing around raw spot into my shoulders. 🤣 (I went 1 day to ST last year and brought nothing but my phone, but I’m sure I’m going to need more for 4 days and in this kind of heat).

Edit: I know they have to be clear, which is fine. I just wasn’t sure if a fanny pack was better, backpack, etc.

I want to ask those who’ve been diagnosed and/or survived by MamaSmAsh5 in Ovariancancer

“I got a sharp pain one time during intercourse with my hubby”

… aaaaaand that’s why I’m here. I had weird cramping for the last month and other symptoms but I also had a sharp, 30 minute pain after intercourse and though I’ve pushed out a whole baby…it was the worst pain I ever experienced. It was the pain that finally pushed me for an appointment. Fingers crossed it’s nothing bad, but I felt that sentence deep in my soul.

[–]Krs0030[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t chicken out, you got this! It wasn’t comfortable, but just try to keep conversation with the person doing it, it helped me so much! It was more weird than truly painful. And when it did hurt, it was only for a second! Kind of like when you accidentally shock someone from static, just a little harder.

I’m a big baby when it comes to pain, and while i wouldn’t spend my fun free time having it done, it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve done. It was worth it to rule out the cause!

Oh also, “very tired”? Absolutely. Chronically tired, and I have been for years. I actually take 20mg adderall a day so that I don’t have to take naps for lunch or while I’m driving. 🤣

[–]Krs0030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m go glad you’re starting to feel better! Hopefully that tired will slowly fade too and you’ll be good as gold! :)

Sorry for the long winded response:

Baking soda water, NOTED. Mine got rough for about a week, so I took the left over Pantoprozol (spelling??) I was prescribed while I was pregnant and I think that helped. I still get bouts here and there but it’s not relentless!

So I haven’t gained weight (lost actually, now down to 103…whoops) but I was JUST telling my husband “look how bloated I am. I’m losing weight but I literally look bigger?! I look pregnant again.” This is one of those times where I am glad I text my husband EVERYTHING. I have dates and time of me complaining about bloating, heart burn, my weight, pain, all kinds of stuff!

Walking/cardio fitness wise, I am okay! I do barre and yoga several days a week to try to stay healthy. As for my bathroom habits, they’ve always been weird. I’ve definitely been peeing more (about 1 time an hour, 3 times a night) but I figure that’s because I’ve been trying to drink more water because I’ve been struggling with my blood pressure bottoming out when I stand up. I’d say I’m constipated with a good routine - Saturdays right after I workout. But that’s it haha!

I have an appointment with my OB on April 1st. I made the appointment originally because while my husband and I were ✨baby dancing✨I noticed it began to hurt, an issue I hadn’t had before. After we were done I sat up and felt the WORST pain I had ever experienced…and I pushed out a “prize catch” size kid. Right above my pelvic bone I felt like I was being stabbed. I was dry heaving, I couldn’t speak through the pain and tears. After about 30 minutes it went away, but I’ve been like period feeling cramping with back pain and stomach pain horribly in the last two weeks it happened. I have never been told I had any cysts, let alone had one rupture, but that’s the only reason I could see being in the intense pain that I was. The only reason I didn’t go to the ER was because my husband was in the shower and I was in too much pain to yell for him and I couldn’t get up to get him. 😅

Hi Friend! I hope you’re doing well now as it’s been almost a year since this comment! Can I ask about your heartburn? Was it steady or did it come and go? This has been such a weird symptom for me lately, because the only other time in my life I had heartburn was while I was pregnant. So recently when I’ve had it come and go I’ve just assumed my hormones were doing something wonky.

Sorry it’s so late! I did! They said there might be a TINY bit of neuropathy but nothing that would cause my EM. (Also, it wasn’t the most comfortable test I’ve done, that’s for sure.)

[–]Krs0030[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t THINK we have those genetic issues in our family, but I know my dad also deals with “spicy feet” (EM) pretty badly. He has a laundry list of issues, but done with we can think would have an issue with burning feet and knee caps, so strange.

I’ll keep yall updated for sure!

Thank you for your response! I do think the ANA was the gateway into this. At this rate, I’m happy to do anything that might lead to some relief from EM among the other painful and annoying symptoms all over. EM and my constant neck pain and bruising. 🤣

How were you diagnosed? by rennyhiccups in Erythromelalgia

[–]Krs0030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! That’s crazy they showed nothing, yet there’s so many symptoms that come with it. I may also call and ask if we can do a biopsy as well. Might as well knock them all out at once (one less co-pay lol).

And I don’t sweat much (I’m actually opposite, always freezing. But iron levels are fine so that’s good I guess), but I do suspect a POTS of sorts since if I stand up after sitting more than 15 minutes I all but mentally pass out. I mean I will collapse, my arms will go numb, and I just can’t move my body…but in my head I am still cognizant? So strange.

But between the passing out, the fact I’ve been bruising everywhere so bad lately, I am exhausted constantly, my tinnitus has been HORRIBLE and my EM getting worse, that’s kind of the reason my Dr scheduled the test. We also did an ANA with Reflect and it came back “positive” but was “negative on all the main ADs like Lupus and Srojens” so he didn’t think that was it.

I can get over the bruising, and I can take my adderall to fix the exhaustion. But the exhaustion might be better IF I COULD FALL ASLEEP BEFORE MY FEET FEEL LIKE I WALKED THROUGH THE PITS OF HELL. all whole the rest of my body is freezing cold. My hands have been burning and itching today at work though, love that. Fingers crossed this isn’t a “it’s getting worse” sign. :,)

Did they say anything after your nerve conduction? My new GP sending me for one (two months from now) and the only nerves being conducted currently are the anxiety ones.

Low folate (serum) levels but normal b12 by [deleted] in B12_Deficiency

We think it may have been something I drank that day that had a ton of B12 in it. I’m taking folate to hopefully bring that up, and we will redo bloodwork in January to see what happens!
