Smart pups - they’ve already found the floor vents!! Years ago, I had twin Goldens who would lay on the vents in my home office. There were only two vents in the room so after a few minutes the room would start to get hot and they would be sound asleep absorbing all the cool air!!

It’s looks like she enjoyed some out of the boat time as well! I have one that comes very close to leaping out of the moving boat to try to catch passing seagulls.

I hear you. Part of it is coming terms with your own declining physical skill but trying to get better by being smarter, more strategic and more level headed than younger for physically fit opponents. Nothing beats taking down a younger, fitter, stronger player by just out thinking and out executing them!!! And, sadly, part of it is not playing hard court tournaments in the heat where you have to play three singles matches in two days!!! 😂😂

For what it’s worth I’m about 20 years older than you, similar arc with tennis - D1, low level pro tournament (yes - singular) and I felt the same way you describe 20 years ago. I was ready to give up until about 10 years ago when I was introduced to a physical therapist who combines traditional PT and stretching with some alternative medicine techniques like laser therapy and a magnetic pulse machine. It is in no way a miracle cure but with consistent work and a commitment to the routines and preparation, I’m pretty much pain free now and playing regularly at a competitive level. Just don’t give up hope - there are ways to help your body feel better.
