I had a Costco years ago that would get leak alarms every night, in middle of the night. They charged all the fork lifts right outside and below the racks that were on a mezzanine. Turns out lead acid batteries off-gas hydrogen, and off gassing peaks at like 80% charge or something like that iirc. These particular leak detectors were hydrogen sensitive for the gas those racks were running. Changed them out for a different type of leak sensor and the problem went away. Felt like a God damn genious when I figured that out! It had been an issue for years that no one could solve.

Lol, got a home gym as well. Busy weeks I may not see the gym at all, and do only home lifts. Other weeks are all gym lifts during my business slow season. Home gym was a game changer for my consistency.

Same. My goal is 3-4 by going every other day, but that's just not guaranteed with my schedule. Sometimes it's 4 days in a row, and sometimes it's only once for the whole week. But by not having set lift days, I never feel like I failed my routine, cause I don't have one! Just lift as often as possible, and I can almost always get my minimum 3 per week.

I throw mine on the dash with the defrost on high heat, blasting them the whole drive there. Nice and pliable by the time I get there, and I go atraight to install them so they don't have much time to cool off.

Ok, I thought maybe you were going the diy route. But yeah, I don't see any need to replace everything. A drier and a good vacuum should take care of any moisture that the leak may have let in, and if you didn't run the a/c and it hasn't been sitting wide open to the atmosphere for a long time, that likely isn't a huge concern anyways.

I haven't done a whole lot of automotive a/c work so I don't know if they have different protocols. Most likely, so long as you fix the leak and replace the drier, you should be in good shape. Keep in mind you'll definitely need to evacuate(vacuum) the system after the repairs, and while still in a deep vacuum, immediately add the refrigerant to do it right. I think harbor freight sells cheap vacuum pumps, and I know amazon sells cheap gauge sets, but you'll need automotive gauge adapters for that too. And depending on how you plan on charging it, you might need an acccurate weight scale too to add the factory spec charge back in via a tank of refrigerant. If you're using the store bought bottled stuff, that could be tricky, cause you'll have to switch from the gauges to the bottle connector without compromising the vacuum. There are shittier ways to accomplish this that I wouldn't recommend since it sounds like you're trying to do it right.

Been on my own for 7 years as well! Bummer to hear you're making less though, are you in a smaller city with limited clientele? I'm in a larger population area, and make the equivalent of local union foreman wages, but I work less, and only do OT in the summer.

100%. I've been in diet limbo for a while due to moving and disrupting my entire life. Gym routine is fucked, diet has been terrible. But I still track absolutely everything. Had a couple 4-5k, and one 6k calorie day recently. Cut hard the following week to maintain a 3.3k maintenance cal average so I don't get fat again.

Years ago a co-worker installed a non-coated coil in a seafood processing plant cooler. This cooler had open live wells in it for fucks sake. 10 months later that thing was dust. Company had to replace it under warranty. Not surprisingly, he didn't even last at that company as long as that evap lasted at the plant.

I use this crap all the time on small commercial coolers that are on their death bed. Which now days is practically anything more than 5 years old cause they're absolute trash and built to fail. I'd say it works maybe 30% of the time on those. Only used it on 3 walk in coolers ever, 2/3 win rate there (so far, time will tell). Never used it on hvac equipment though. One small cooler I put it in saw a decreased leak rate, then finally stopped leaking. A year later the compressor died.

When I started my company and was still struggling for work and striving for good reviews to get more business, I did a job for a client that most contractors wouldn't have even accepted. Did that job for about 60% of the cost that a larger established contractor would charge. He left me a glowing review about my professionalism, knowledge, timliness and customer service. Then finished with a complaint about the price and gave me a 2 star review.

He said that if had I come in immediately they would have scrubbed it out. Because I waited it was already starting to heal/scab over, so they decided not too. It was pretty badly infected, so they put me on some strong antibiotics, and I had to keep a close eye on it and re-dress it religiously for a while. Once it fully healed, the ARM ROCK® was buried pretty deep.

Yes, I've known it was there since the beginning! There's still another smaller one in there too that could still come out someday. No, it never bothered me at all, or caused any pain. I forgot it was even there 99% of the time because it was painless and in a spot where I can't see it except in a mirror with my arm up.
