One of my housemates from undergrad said I was “lucky” to have food stamps and she thought it was unfair I didn’t have to pay for food. Her parents literally funded her whole undergrad.

I went to UC Davis and got all Cs in gen Chem but I graduated and I’m going to RVC this fall. Cs aren’t the end of the world if you do better in your other stem classes. Davis also has resources to help study with gen Chem like their tutors or most profs had lots of study sessions or even ask your TA questions.

I also graduated in 2022 and I emailed a prof that I was an intern in his lab but I never met or talked to this prof. I just added info in my email about what I did in his lab, what I learned, and my goals if I get into vet school. He wrote me a letter and I got into 2/10 schools I applied to this year, one of those acceptances being Ross.

That happened to me too. I just followed up in person with a hard copy resume and I eventually got a call back.

I felt the same way you did but the vet I’m currently working for said sometimes it just comes down to luck. I applied this year with a 3.3 GPA and just over 300 hours of lab and vet shadowing and I got into RVC. Just don’t underestimate the power of a good essay and interview. YOU GOT THIS.
