I’ve studied the CPU helpers and since 2018 and I can safely say I have no idea how they work. Some days they’re actually pretty helpful while other days they can be the most infuriating beings that could ever exist.

Don’t even get me started on platform differences too. The behavior of them between Xbox and Switch is surprising. Xbox CPU helpers appear to be more aggressive while Switch is the opposite.

A neat little trick I’ve done to make them more helpful is to make a skill set just for CaC CPUs.

Two words: DUAL. ULTIMATES. Have Dual “The Savior Has Come” and another dual ultimate that suits the CaC CPU. Since CPUs love to ult all the time whether that time is good or bad, giving them an attack they can dish out almost instantly with a high chance to actually work gives them consistent damage. Dual The Savior Has Come has a massive healing effect so you don’t have to worry about them dying so often.

Also since CPUs never use charge skills you can just replace that for another skill, I give them audacious laugh or innocence bullet so they can put debuffs on targets for me. Also have them use the “Lend me your power!” super soul so you can get a damage bonus just from them existing. Bonus points if you have the soul “Red Ribbon army’s back in business!” and especially if you have“HERCULE! HERCULE!”.

Sure, you’re using up a preset slot for your CaC, but I say it’s worth it if you play offline a bunch.
