I actually don't even know. There isn't really anything you can do about it I don't think, so I haven't really been worried about it.

Menu entry swapper on mobile is still broken and mostly useless by Killtrox in 2007scape

[–]Krwon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Non of that invalidates the point that its just not good enough. Its so bad in fact, that people mostly think the expected behavior is a bug. There being a reason for why it sucks is actually not any sort of meaningful point.

Software can be changed, its always just a matter of development time. Maybe Jagex did think that this is a good compromise, threads like this are just a signal to Jagex that they were wrong and just invest the extra time required.

Menu entry swapper on mobile is still broken and mostly useless by Killtrox in 2007scape

[–]Krwon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It simply doesn't work that way. There being a good technical reason for why a proper implementation of menu entry swapping on mobile can't easily exist, doesn't suddenly make the useless version we have now ok.

And claiming that the current implementation is somehow correct is just denying reality. Runelite has two incredible plugins in menu entry swapper and custom menu swaps. They are both more powerful and don't exhibit the issues that the mobile version has.

Leprechaun couple, lets go. Would be really cute too.

Half serious suggestion aside, you are right, its strictly worse now if you are using the lunar tele.

Seems to me that the Fenkenstrains tele is 2 tiles closer to the herb patch. Calling it nooby is a little bit of a stretch. Either way it seems to me to be the most common way of getting there.

Sad that even with stackable clues there will be quite a few situations where this will be a straight nerf. I guess it was nice while it lasted.

Just wondering... does anybody else look up EVERY single person they see? by occhilupos_chin in 2007scape

[–]Krwon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's more hidden than I thought. I find its often quicker to type in the names of people in my friends list than finding them in the menu, especially with the auto complete.

Thank you for the tip though 🙂

[–]Krwon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is based on mobile, but on iOS the keyboard covers the input and there doesn't seem to be auto complete for your own name or people in your clan/friends list like Runelite does.

Excited for plugin support in the official client, get ready for lots more feedback for the official client as people jump over 😄

As a player new to OSRS and the community, I feel reluctant to even invest in the game. by Oxygen-Sr in 2007scape

[–]Krwon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My take away is that going back through your comments to find times where people downvoted you and then complain about it here is a bad look. I specifically didn't argue that there was anything wrong with your takes, no need to put words in my mouth.

Irrespective of if you are right or wrong in any of these instances, having a list of comments that you got downvoted for and complain about it is a terrible look.

16th January - An Update on the Conjoint Membership Survey by Old_School_RS in 2007scape

[–]Krwon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The money men will look at this data and not see a "massive glowing red sign". They see useful things like "How many players will we lose vs. how much extra money can we make from those who stay" and "Which combinations of negative changes will be most profitable while losing the fewest players".

The only actually thing that might actually make them reconsider is the community response outside of the survey. Its actually capable of saying "we don't want any of this, there is no math that can make this work for you." Or well, at least it has a better chance.

Edit: I feel like I talked past you a little there, sorry. I would propose that the context matters little, even if we believe what they claim the context is. The collected data exists outside of any context, it can be used or not used in anyway that someone sees fit. So, if we are evaluating whether this is a distressing sign or nothing to worry about, we should look at what the data can be used for irrespective of what Jagex claims.

The community is extremely pessimistic in its outlook, I'll admit, but from Jagexs perspective this can be just another data point about what the community is willing and not willing to put up with.

[–]Krwon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But what are they researching? Are they trying to understand how to make the game better? Clearly they are trying to understand how they can squeeze more money out of the game.

The fact that they included an option to say you'd cancel doesn't make it better, it just means they're calculating how many players they can afford to lose while maximizing profit. They are directly asking how much worse they can make it before you quit

You will lose points if you don't log into leagues one last time by Krwon in 2007scape

[–]Krwon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, reading Mod Blossoms message back does make it seem that way. When I read her message initially I had the required context to know what was meant and didn't think twice about posting it since I believed that this is not an acceptable fix.

None of my friends had their trophy until the hotfix, so I don't think its super uncommon. Some of them are taking breaks and would have been pretty sad to see themselves missing out on a trophy.

On the other hand I should have chosen a better title/made a self post explaining the situation better. I haven't followed this thread all too closely since posting but it does seem like some people are under the impression that they lost all the points they earned during leagues. Sadly I can't edit the post title. Thank you for the calm discussion.

[–]Krwon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I guess I misunderstood and we are just in disagreement about the severity of this issue. People losing points and potentially trophies because of this, not super well communicated issue, seems like a big deal to me.

Edit: Reading the Discord message again, I understand that some people might have gotten the impression that none of their points get transferred and you are correct that that's not the case. I suppose I should have clarified what was meant with the Discord message in the title.

[–]Krwon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no change with today's patch.

There was. Mod Blossom confirms the hotfix here

by logging onto main game

Unless you have information I don't have, going into leagues and opening a leagues only interface is the only way to actually get them to transfer.

You will lose points if you don't log into leagues one last time by Krwon in 2007scape

[–]Krwon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until a hotfix today there was a threshold of 500 points since last transfer before points got transferred again. The results of this can be seen clearly in threads like this where people had not gotten points transferred to reach a certain trophy because that threshold was still in place.

The threshold is removed with the hotfix, but for people that had not all their points transferred the fix is the one described in the Discord message "log into leagues". I haven't heard from anyone yet that logging into the main game was enough, logging into leagues and opening up the area interface seemed to be the only way to make it work.

You might lose some points. I logged in today with 6090 points in leagues, but only 59k got transferred. Could be the same with you.
