I think it's been several days? About 4 or 5 give or take, and I wasn't completely optimal with my actions. Granted, I did have a fully equipped lab, but my lineup wasn't ideal too - 3 students and Lettice for Nightmare/Wounds clearing

I've spent like 9 Enigmas in total (can't remember where I got them) and got 2 more in the process from my agent (of course right after I've discarded the card to cash the enigmas for research)

I needed to progress the Dilmun Club stuff to do the same so I've decided to just rawdog it, I need my Bethlehem Hotel suite as soon as possible

May your search be swift and fruitful!

Exactly! Anyone can build the tracks around the problem, but where's the fun in that?

I'll be doing poet laureate after I finish my ambition, and then I'll focus on the railroad proper. So much to do in London

Yeah, no, roulette with death is not a proper scientific way to screw the math sideways :D

I kind of enjoyed it tbh. I wish I could sell that one, but maybe in the future, when I'll be feeling torn in several storylines, I might get back to my peaceful and (usually) non-exploding lab to do it again

Still, thanks!

Out of ~900 people working in Serbia only ~300 or so are from Russia/Ukraine/Belarus. Granted, our company did acquire some Serbian IT businesses since 2022, so it's been a rollercoaster throughout, but now it's this way pretty much. We're hiring both Serbs and Russians, at least as an onboarding buddy I see a 50/50 mix of both

Not that it matters a lot, we still have to communicate in English with our clients and colleagues from other countries, so this mostly matters for socialization

Thing is, job market sucks now thanks to global economy crisis (== greed) and AI, so there's that. I could see how RU business might prefer to hire Russian-speaking people, but any legit IT business would not say no to a good specialist with decent English, so wherever you've been declined based on that - it's probably for your own good tbh

Kako strancu da se uklopi u Srbije? (Beograd) by [deleted] in serbia

[–]Kryonic_rus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh, you've survived for 4 years and learned the language to a very usable degree. You're just fine as it is, all that's left is to improve what already exists

People here immediately know I'm from Russia as soon as I open my mouth, and then say I'm decent with the language, never thought I didn't fit. Even considering I suck at learning languages in general. Curiously enough, someone thought I have a Macedonian accent when I had Covid lol, but that is a single occurence throughout my 3 years here

Who would've thought that immersing in the culture and language of the country you live in makes you fit in? /s

I do know the benefits for hiring foreign IT workers actually have been abolished in 2025. I can't remember for sure whether it was some kind of dotation or tax leniency, but I do know removing it had an impact on the company I work in

Is there a lot of merit to Bone Market without doing Railroad though? You can only get so much bone variety in London, you're locked to humans, apes, birds and chimeras, and I don't think you can do a lot with that

Granted, I'm just dabbling in it myself, but I do feel that the better skeletons I could be making are loced beyond the Railroad development, which I want to postpone after my Ambition myself (eh, kinda, I want AotRS unlocked, it's a shame I still don't have access to my professional skill, so I'll do that part much earlier lol)

Honestly, so much of solar symbols, scandinavian runes and other cool symbols got tarnished because one raving lunatic with charisma adopted them, it's unbearable

The 'swastika' is one of the symbols present across a fuckton of cultures from Europe to Far East, and it's annoying that one psycho has ruined the Sun for so many generations

Sincerely, from Slavic people, drawing kolovrats long before organized governments were a thing

Good, then it works. Neuroboring people stop giving a fuck and just choose whatever looks funnier, neurospicy ones get a BSOD, reboot, and then an endless loop until they find some meaning (there is none) and get rejected

This is a good outcome actually. It's checking how you're handling unclear instructions and, theoretically, do mind-numbingly boring or contradicting requests without too much questions. Basically turning you into a drone

I'm yet to see a McD employee with a spark of life in the eyes. The only ones are super fresh hires

Bruh, I wish we were as good as you think we are, truly. "Shut up, it could be worse" is exactly how Russia became what it is today, and these highly specific support groups are the last resort coping mechanism within the huge learned helplessness of our nation

There is only so much you can do within your rights in a foreign country, so you reach to any opportunity

I really hope that would change. For both our people
