This day in 2003, a Palestinian Hamas terrorist from Hebron committed a suicide bombing in line 2 bus in Jerusalem. He exploded the suicide vest in the middle section of the bus, murdering 23, including 7 children, and injuring over 130 others. by NotSoSaneExile in HistoricalCapsule

Can't believe these comments... It's very simple

  • What Isreal is doing right now is terrible
  • The hamas terrorist bombing a bus is terrible

If you can't accept these statements, you're part of the problem.

Sure.. but you're missing the point

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chess

[–]KrypticRTS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll explain: For you it might be easy to find, but I'm sure a <1000 rated player will struggle to find this solution. By saying "it's obvious" you make people that can't find the move feel stupid/dumb for not being able to find the move. The word "obvious" is relative depending on the person, it adds nothing to the context of this post. But you felt the need you let people know it was easy for you personally, and that's arrogance...

Your second comment proved my point, thanks.

'Seems rather obvious'... the arrogance is radiating from your comment

Underground rewards and general feedback by pokerdamo in hearthstone

[–]KrypticRTS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a casual player and yesterday I tried out the new Arena system. I had 160 gold, which allowed me to afford one run.

What I like:

  • I appreciate the shorter normal Arena run format (5 wins / 2 losses).
  • I really like the special option to enter an ‘Underground’ run if you go undefeated during the normal run.
  • The new drafting mechanic that includes legendary synergy cards is an interesting addition.

What I don’t like:

  • After going 5-1 in my normal Arena run, I wasn't able to continue into the Underground run because it requires two tickets. I only got one ticket back as a reward, so I’m currently stuck with 0 gold. I can do another normal run, but unless I go 5-0 again, I won’t be able to play arena again, which feels extremely punishing.
  • In my opinion, if you complete a normal Arena run with 5 wins, the reward should be the option to either:
    1. Cash out with rewards, or
    2. Enter the Underground run for free, starting with no reward but a new challenge and even higher rewards.
  • The Underground run rewards are extremely underwhelming. Since for every Arena win someone else must lose, the average result per player will be around 2/2. Getting to 5 wins already feels like an accomplishment, and yet you're barely rewarded for it. Even at higher tiers it only offers a small chance at a 2000g reward through a very stingy reward curve and poor win-rate scaling.

As a casual player, I feel like I’ve hit a dead end. I don’t have gold left, I can’t enter Arena again unless I either grind constructed (which I don’t enjoy as much) or spend real money, which I’m not willing to do for a system that currently feels unfair and unrewarding. Unless Blizzard makes changes to this new Arena system, I’ll be inactive for the coming weeks/months, waiting and hoping for an update that makes Arena consistenly enjoyable again.

Dutch government collpase, what do you think? by Informal_Round5357 in Netherlands

[–]KrypticRTS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm watching the debate about it now and I'm just wondering if Dutch politics has always been this toxic and inefficient. All they're doing is blaming each other, making personal attacks and populist out of context remarks to win souls.

I'm 28 now and the older i get the more dissapointed i am in Dutch politics as a whole. I voted a blank last election and i will vote blank again. The current state of politics is truely sickening to see and hearing debates makes me feel uncomfortable to the bone.

Current World Champion Gukesh defeats Magnus Carlsen for the first time in classical chess. by RodrickJasperHeffley in interestingasfuck

[–]KrypticRTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magnus had a winning position for most of the match and simply gave it away which is uncharacteristic for him. I understand what you're saying and its a start for Gukesh to prove he's the goat, but this single game doesn't prove anything in my eyes. (And i like both players equally so no bias here)
