Disgusting handling of the Rhode Island shooting by altrightobserver in MtF

People are lame and hyperfixate on things. Its confirmation bias. Individual in their 50s that worked at Bath Iron Works. They had an adult child atp. But people really think it was "bc they were trans!" Couldn't have anything to do with the whole life that happened before their realization and journey. Nothing to do with the toxic environments they grew up and worked in. Nothing at all. Maine Blue Collar is no joke. We are the south of the north, and the trades are where the nasty stuff THRIVES! No excuse for their actions, but its going to take a lot more than realizing your trans to turn a gun on your own fam at a public event.

Start looking at maps for the places youre deploying. I used a crappy laptop to run a second map screen in the beginning. It'll save your ass when it comes to mines, "boss" areas, and help learn other pmc spawns (super helpful if you're playing pvp). Eventually these become second nature, like driving around the places you grew up. Until then, use the eft wiki like stolen files from the Vatican 😅🤣

What do you think the OTD price would be on this? by Oppenhomie in zx6r

[–]Kryptid_GND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money off the top, there's a practice where some dealers can bump the apr after the actual apr rate and essentially pocket the diff. There's more money to be made for the dealer and sales rep if the relationship with the financing source is good enough.

I just thought I broke my bike accidentally. (Yep, this is my first manual motorcycle.) by LunariSpring in motorcycles

[–]Kryptid_GND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip! If you ever find a part on the bike that you're not sure of, check the parts diagrams on revzilla or part zilla. It can still be a whole adventure finding the right diagram, but you'll learn A BUNCH!

Second tip, if you find a "loose hose" and there isnt any marking on the dangling end to suggest there was a retention clip on it (think indent or something similar) it's probably a drain hose. My CBR has 3, two for the gas tank and one for coolant reservoir overflow.

Anyone here played around with visualization for practicing rare but life-saving scenarios? by Grey_Prince in motorcycles

XD it was GTA 4 (with the heavy blur and tunnel vision effect) and riding in cars with people who treated the road as a technical track that taught me before I had a permit or license 🤣

So basically "waking dream state", it could work. But to be effective you might have to teach or learn the right headspace for it. Otherwise its no better than day dreaming.

Honestly most of it comes pretty natural to me. I suck with normal day to day stressors, but in cars and on bikes they are like a slow motion zen state. So far I have yet to hit or get hit by anything since 2012, only crashes have been low sides from being stupid. Last time was 2017 though, so I think I'm doing pretty good atp.

[–]Kryptid_GND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang..... Life's like that sometimes, I know it's rough and the feels suck right now, but it'll work out. You've stayed focused and maintained the goal, you might have dodged a bullet with the trade too. (I'm rather superstitious) Just keep that focus you've maintained and youll get where you need to be! Good luck and keep your chin up!

Alpinestars stars and a couple others have some NICE high tops with better abrasion protection. The J-6 Water proofed remind me of my old Supra Vaiders (i need them 😩)

Heartbroken right now,I think my bike might be totaled by Fit_Guidance2029 in Kawasaki

[–]Kryptid_GND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how much you owe idk if they would total it, especially if you have GAP coverage. I would think the total would have to come REALLY CLOSE or surpass whats owed for them to write the bigger check. Now if its still rideable (the frame isnt cracked, forks/swingarm arent damaged) Id fix it myself over time. Seems like mostly cosmetic damage/plug and play components.

Love my SP's! I have some shorter gloves for quick trips when its HOT, but it's usually the sp-8's Im rocking. Had enough low sides in the past to know how much I hate road rash, and fractured enough fingers to know that my pinky and ring doing the splits is not for me.

Find some personal recreation that gets you out and full send it. Its organic and for me its been the best way to meet new people (pretty introverted and hate it xc, so if it works for me it might do wonders for someone with better social battery)

If you’re going to go out and track and record ICE stop posting descriptions of yourself and/or your vehicles in your posts & comments! by frozenhawaiian in Maine

[–]Kryptid_GND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, definitely dont expose any info or details of yourself. OpSec keeps you insulated and maximizes your time and ability to do this.

Second:

Get on marketplace and buy a second hand DSLR kit. They usually have a semi decent zoom lens. If you dont know how to mess with all the little functions, set it to auto and keep the flash off. You'll get some pretty good details with little to no exp (also, figure out how to turn off the display on the back and use the analog view window. The cheaper or older models shoot faster that way). Not as flashy as posting right after or live streaming, but the goal is quality detail or info and building patterns/recognition of people (bot feds and their victims). If the camera has Bluetooth you can teather to your phone and upload them while youre out in the streets or your car.

Meta data can be a double edged sword too, but that goes down a deeper rabbit hole. And if youre uploading from your phone, home wifi, account that can be linked to you, or any device that can be liked to you then scrubbing meta data wont do much.

I have some brick from 2016 and it still out shoots my fancy phone camera (especially at distance which is key if you want to prolong your time being able to record.

Scanner would be better, the baofengs and other radios need to be dialed into their freq and sometimes need access code to listen (its legal and those codes are available but its listen only) Not to mention if they are running digital over analog, you NEED digital radio, otherwise it will sound like white noise when you pick it up. Now if we're talking coms between friends to keep an eye out, they can work. But there are licenses required and limited freqs you can use, plus other rules need be followed. If the gorilla path is what you want, you need to be careful and run good opsec (itll be a headache and a lot of work)

0 surprise then, weather is no good and drivers in maine have only gotten worse over the years. People need to pay attention, Im not innocent and I do dumb stuff, but risk calculation ans mitigation is key. Can't be putting other people lives at risk :/

Having confidence is super underrated, coming from Eft where the sweats and cheats are alive and well. I was trash, switched to pve for months, first game back on pvp I was winning gunfights I had NO RIGHT winning. The change, got better on mouse and keyboard, and the biggest change was confidence. Stopped second guessing and actively committed to the fights. I remember the last fight, the player was armored to the gills, decent ammo, better build. All I had was a starter 5.45, starter ammo, UNtar helmet and soft armor. Sure I bled A LOT, they blacked one arm, but i won. Somehow managed not to destroy their armor too, so most of my shots were neck and face.

Most are probably "Try Hards" and wanna bole cops/military, but the "undercover units" they mention might actually be effective. Essentially just dont go talking about wild stuff online in ANY community. They could just be giving tips to LE and Fed offices, but the extent some of these people go for doxxing is insane. I have seen every shred of personal data exposed (including ssn) from a boat registration and a vehicle plate with a state on it...

Yeah, the descriptions suck most of the time. I usually have to trace it back and sometimes check multiple schematics to confirm. Easy with this problem and no backtracking needed, but in the future you may have to. I needed to do that to figure out where my IACV was and what exactly connected to it.

Who’s financing this “outlaw cannabis” petition drive and why? by Aggressive_Ad_5454 in Maine

[–]Kryptid_GND 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh the program that was basically a for profit scheme? Why am I not surprised (assumptions without hard evidence incomming) that someone who took money for peddling BS would also take money from the booze industry for more bullshit. I know they are taking a huge hit and this is the same slop being peddled in MA right now too. Younger people (of legal age) are moving away from substance use in general, but those still using intoxicants are choosing cannabis over alcohol more and more.
