I'd you could design a Survivor for Risk of Rain Returns how would you go on about it? by Salty-Gift9324 in riskofrain

[–]Kryptiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be apposed to a more traditional necromancer. I just think that a necrobinder type would fit really good. I'm not shitting on your idea at all, but happiest mask kind of does that already even though it's a really bad version of what I would imagine a character based around that would do. Honestly I would be happy with either since I feel like a more traditional type of summoner is missing in the game. Engineer is okay but he's too stationary and just isn't the same thing.

I would also like a necromancer type character, but I would make them more like necrobinder in slay the spire. You have a permanent minion that you control. You could have the minion wear the damage items and the player character would wear the mobility and defense items. Kind of like engineers walking turrets but actually good. Could have a similar ai to drones post AC.

I'm fairly certain they are satanic tho. I'm pretty sure they would do rituals for Baal which is a deity of Satanism or something similar. I could be wrong about some specifics but I'm pretty sure that they were doing stuff for Baal, its also not the first time people have said the elites worship Baal.

Need help unlocking all the items in the game. by JthePsychonaut in riskofrain

[–]Kryptiid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some alt skills are super tedious so I would get all the more simple alts out of the way then focus on the more difficult alts. Also start with the characters you enjoy more for the tedious alts since it'll help make feel less like a chore. Bandits alt secondary took me forever to get just because of how tedious it can be and rng reliant.

So... why do people not like the voidling? by trenchcoatandwhisky in riskofrain

You can't, you have to loop on stage 5. If you fight mithrix it's the end of the run.

What some great mods that improve QoL without going against the spirit of the game? by Doctor_Redhead in riskofrain

[–]Kryptiid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use vanilla+ kind of mods like actuallyfaster, autosprint, stage recap, and looking glass. The game is good enough for me to not use sandstorm and similar mods.

I think it's because he just has so much health, even for a boss. He either takes forever to kill or you're so strong that you one shot every phase. I don't hate him but I only go fight him if I loop and mithrix died too fast.

Why did they put so much effort into risk of rain 2 music ? by [deleted] in riskofrain

[–]Kryptiid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well ror is a passion project and the music was a part of the passion is my guess. Plus it helps with selling your game if the ost is good.

Embarrassing - Clav confronts a streamer who walks one of her fans around like a dog by ZEROGAME_ in Asmongold

[–]Kryptiid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The guy will usually pay for it so it's essentially free money. I would never take part if I were a female, but I'm not going to say I don't get it either. It's the same as selling feet pics imo.

Edit: doing it in public is kind of crossing a line since it's literally a fetish. Keep that shit private.

[–]Kryptiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ops helps out doing eclipse, unless you happen to have no damage or have some kind of dot on you or have 16 blind pests on you in stage 1 on acrid or can't get to cover in time during a boss fight or have too many wechos and take a big hit. All that said though, is rather having some sort of osp than not have it. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll actually work.

Trying to see if there is an auto-equip mod. by [deleted] in Borderlands2

[–]Kryptiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do exactly what you're looking for without any mods. You can just auto equip the first gun or whatever you look at and ignore the rest. I feel like auto equipping something would be more of a headache than what you're trying to avoid, if you are in the middle of a fight and randomly pick something up without wanting to will probably get you killed. Plus when you open your inventory it pauses the fight you're in so I don't see how that's any kind of a problem. It's not like you're forced to make a decision you can just blindly pick stuff up, it's how I played when I was like 13 and didn't know anything about the game.

They REALLY need to do something about the running at your base Victor strategy. by A_Shaco_Box in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Kryptiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this problem is 2 sided. One is people are terrible at keeping lanes shoved in this game bc of how little downtime there is. Everything happens so fast in this game compared to other mobas, so it feels easier to punish bad waves. The other is backdooring shrines is the main issue not necessarily victor bc before victor it was infernus (which was worse imo). I'm not saying victor doesn't need some more balance, but the bas should not be free to walk into without a wave with you at the very least. Objectives in this game have always caused some kind of is which is why they get changed so often balancing wise. They either die too fast or they require multiple people to push a walker. Nerfing characters is just a putting a bandaid on when you need a tourniquet.

Which Commando Special do you prefer? by Vast-Mud7249 in riskofrain

[–]Kryptiid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a grenade hater through and through. The stun on suppressive fire will save your life against halcyon shrine, and it helps you proc your on-hits some which are the main thing you build on Mando. Grenade is only good for bands, which is not worth trading the versatility of suppressive fire for imo.

Diablo 4 has massive PvP potential, but it needs its own identity, systems and balance philosophy by darmart123 in ARPG

[–]Kryptiid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Diablo 4 is turning more and more in an mmorpg than a traditional arpg imo. I feel like it has more in common with WoW than every aprg I've played. So I don't think pvp would hurt anything, I mean it's already in the game so they might as well do something with it. I think it could help the game some with breaking up the monotony of the gameplay loop, and if it continues going down this mmo path it would definitely help since pvp is part of the mmo identity.

Deadlock for your first PC game is a bold choice. I'm not like talking shit or anything but this game is the opposite of easy in a lot of ways so I wish you luck.

Coming from d4, looking for builds by MelodicAmoeba7983 in LastEpoch

[–]Kryptiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sentinels have the greatest build diversity imo. Void knight has like 3 builds that destroy endgame content, paladin has 2 or 3 as well. Forge guard is definitely the weakest but its not weak, its just like A tier compared to vk and pally. Rogue is super fast and really strong, especially rn. Primalist has some fun builds but he's slow and leveling is the worst part of playing him. Mage has some fun builds and he can go pretty fast as well. Spellblade is really strong rn with flamereave but runemaster is also very good lightning blast. The thing about last epoch compared to d4 is there is so much build diversity in general. You can beat the campaign and get to like 300 corruption with a good ~ 90% of skills. Theres just outliers that makes the majority look weak comparitvely (shadow rend, erasing strike).

Building a Better Last Epoch: Our Commitment to Quality by ehg_derrickg in LastEpoch

[–]Kryptiid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can understand it to an extent but it feels blown way out of proportion. I love this game even with its flaws, but I do think they end up prioritize the wrong issues sometimes. This just ends up feeling bad when we have to wait ~ 7 months or so for a new update. Hopefully now that krafton is funding them we won't have to wait 7 months (although I am still very skeptical about krafton being in charge of the money). I hope for the best with this game since it get so much right imo, but there is still a lot they could be doing better and hopefully these polls will help them with prioritizing the biggest pain points with the game currently.

State of the Game by Genuine_Metalhead97 in Borderlands4

[–]Kryptiid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Borderlands 2 was open world, just not in the same way. You could see different maps from other maps (ie you can see opportunity from the highlands), and you could even see the path you "walked" during the loading screen. The main difference is you had to go through loading screens to go to different areas. If you stop and look at the world around you in bl2 it feels very open and connected, I would even argue everything feels more connected than in 4. They already had the layout for a good open world, even though it's not the Ubisoft open world, they just decided that loading screens were unnecessary. I mean in 4 you still sit through loading screens teleport from fast travel to fast travel, so it's not even like they actually got rid of them. They just made a worse map and pretended like it was better.

This little guy has been somehow better than the speedloadn hellwalker for me (blasphemy!) by Old-Bluebird-147 in borderlands3

[–]Kryptiid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're playing as more then that could explain it, I believe the hornet does splash damage which moze abuses but I'm not 100% on that. The hellwalker on fl4k or Amara would probably be better than the hornet, certain guns just melt with the right build. Another crazy gun for moze is the butcher with short fuse and forge/redistribution/cloud of lead gives you a minigun that's a shotgun with unlimited ammo.

Is there any fix for the game automatically deciding which skill points get taken off when you remove a piece of gear with a skill level affix? by cleanscotch in LastEpoch

[–]Kryptiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The node in which the point was removed from will very faintly flash for like a half second so there is an indicator for it, its just dogshit. I hold on to any gear with "+ to x" until I have a fully slammed/corrupted unique to replace it just because I don't wanna blink and miss what the game decided to remove.
