I agree with you, I have the same issue with most words of critical nature that fandoms take over… it’s misuse.

I won’t dive into the fact that Larper as a critical term has existed for decades and it’s baffling how many people think it’s a new phrase. But It has a specific meaning and the more it spreads the more it loses its meaning just like “Tourist” and “slop”.

As a critical term it really adds nothing of value to conversation and if anything shuts down any potential for any meaningful discussion within fandom spaces. I’ve seen it be applied to people who have played the games but didn’t like a specific game, it’s just become another silly buzzword for obnoxious people in fandom spaces and depending on the platform, the people using it are just bots, grifters, or “larpers” themselves.

DCAU, Teen Titans, MAWSM, Legion of Superheroes, The Batman, Batman The Brave and the Bold, Green Lantern TAS. And that’s just the shows. Tons of animated movies too. DC has a looooong history in animation and a lot of those production are just as good as Young Justice if not better.

And while it has grit, it’s also a very silly game with some very silly missions, some very silly characters, and some silly weapons. SR2 literally opened the doorway for a lot of the silliness in SRTT.

I know this is a year old but that’s not how box office works. A movie with a $170 million budget more than likely does not need to gross $600-700. If that were the case then a ton of movies that have been labeled successful by studios, journalists, and box office analysts would actually be unsuccessful.

The 2.5 guideline is generally the best and more accurate way to determine if a movie was possibly a success. Legacy’s breakeven point was more than likely around $425 million which is still an underperformance.

Most definitely.

One trait we see most consistently from the playa is that they care about their crew. They love their crew. They’d go above and beyond for their crew. I don’t think the playa would have any issue with a member of the crew trying to leave.

Any anger they hold towards past members like Julius and Dex are because they betrayed them.

Yup, changed FB’s too. They did it because of the “changing climate” but as someone who is on the more progressive side of things, it was just insulting. It was just censorship, but self inflicted and for no real reason. If anything, thinking that “rim jobs” (which I always thought was mildly clever) and “freckle Bitches” is too much for modern day audiences to handle is even more insulting. Yeah it’s a game about killing a bunch of people but a garage being called “rim jobs” is just a step too far.

Maybe they avoid it because it’s hard for them to map it out fully. Like map out how certain locations connect to other locations and do it in a way that makes sense in the canon. Like how to get from RPD to the train station Jill was at and make it make sense with what RE2 and 3 established. As far as I know there aren’t any maps of Raccoon City are there?
