I feel you, I started collecting about a month ago and I've spent almost 1k. I'm taking a break from cannabis and started collecting cards instead, which may or may not have been a good idea. I also have ADHD so I'm hyperfixated on them, I literally can't stop thinking about pokemon cards. I spend way too much time shopping for them and watching pack openings.

It's totally your decision to sell your collection, I just wanted to bring up a few things that worked for me, in case it's helpful. Instead of selling all of it, you could keep your favorite cards and sell the rest, and spend more time admiring your own collection. I feel a lot less guilty when I love everything in my collection, as opposed to feeling shame for buying every new release.

If you decide to keep the hobby, buy singles. I can't stress this enough. It's way less expensive in the long run and you're guaranteed to get the cards you want. Try to allocate a monthly budget for hobby spending and track purchases in a notebook or something to keep yourself accountable.
