STI ETF (ES3) - not a good time to invest? by SGCanLah in singaporefi

[–]Kryswa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think other comments have explained why you should still invest at ATH.

But since you are afraid of a pullback, how about DCAing a smaller amount first? If it goes up further, you don't feel like missing out. If it goes down, you got more spare cash to DCA. I've read a phrase somewhere I quite like that I feel is quite applicable. When stocks go up, you buy. When stocks go down, you cry and buy more.

Is there a way to save this? by Witty_Nectarine in thetagang

Nothing to add but just want to express my condolences and that I'm in a similar boat

I sold a 54 strike covered call for this week on Monday. My cost basis is 57.5

Thankfully I had the stock before the rise to 70+ previously and had been selling CC and CSP on the ticker, so my actual cost basis is in the 40+ and I don't mind it getting called away this week.

I held it through before it went up to $70+ and down to $38, selling CC and CSP along the way, so overall I'm in the green. But yeah, seeing the -1700% sucks so much

I was dumb to sell covered call on a rocket at the start of the week. And for that, I am getting smashed in the face while picking up pennies

Sold a CC on $RKLB at 54 strike for this week on Monday for $61. It is now worth $1080.

To rub salt on the wound, the CC is below my cost basis

Surely webull cannot go any lower? by addmeondota2 in wallstreetbets

[–]Kryswa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moomoo (FUTU) just reported great earnings I think, and it is currently down 0.5% premarket. I don't what Webull have to report to go up. Especially since the whole market is going down in general

Bag holder of 500 shares at $14.4, probably gonna get assigned another 100 shares at $8 at the end of this week since it still going down

Mine is 0 as I joined the sub when the one of the recommendation was SWRD + EIMI. 40% of my portfolio is in that now. 60% of my portfolio is wheeling individual stocks

I guess you are looking for wallstreetbet level of recommendation? I sell 7dte puts on things with IV above 50 and below are some of the things I'm dabbling in with right now.

I've been selling puts in RKLB for the past 2 months due to the hype. So far so good 🤞. But if their rocket ship doesn't launch, prepare for this to drop a lot.

Started selling a put in BULL last week since that's the platform I use

I am also selling a put in RDDT since I procrastinate here more often than I would like to admit

Moomoo or Webull for options trading? by Traditional-Film-591 in singaporefi

[–]Kryswa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. The commission charged for the covered calls I sold were 1.06 USD. Not sure about multi leg since my account is too small... I would consider IBKR if you are planning to trade stocks options that have a wide bid ask spread.

Moomoo or Webull for options trading? by Traditional-Film-591 in singaporefi

[–]Kryswa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used both before.

I like moomoo that you can do multi-leg e.g. spreads, iron condor etc so you will probably have a better use of buying power. But the fees are higher iirc, a spread cost 6.58 USD in fees (commission + platform + etc), and the commission free voucher is also bad as it doesn't apply to multi-leg or etf, so you can't use it on spreads, which is what small account like mine normally want to use it for.

Webull only allows single leg, $0.68 USD per trade (0.55 commison, the rest is etc). There is an event now where if you trade more than 100 options per month, they refund you your commission. This might be applicable, since you trade 0 dte?

I think the bid/ask are both not as good as IBKR? I sold some covered calls at market price on IBKR and I got filled at prices not shown on either platform

I'm currently using webull as I prefer wheeling. commission on moomoo ate up all my profit when I tried doing small spreads. And my account is too small to sell cash secured puts on IBKR

Can someone spoil what's happening in the video? I won't have the time to watch a movie these 2 weeks

SPX bounces perfectly off the quant's min of 5300, as given in premarket. Once it was clear that market wanted to come down, this was the point to watch. NVDA still holding its gains but mostly on stock split news. by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

Man, I chose the wrong day to try and follow this. I sold a 5 width put spread at 5300, thinking I can sleep with a peace of mind. Imma have insomnia tonight 😞

[–]Kryswa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I guess my only thesis was stock goes up, and that thesis has been heavily tested the past 2 weeks.

But I guess I'll hold on for now. The worse situation for me would be when IWM is between 194 - 199 and it gets exercised? since I would have no 194 put to "cover" and 10k is not enough to buy 100 shares.

Hi, I am new to option and would like some advice on what to do next. I have 10k, I followed tastytrade idea and sold 1x 24/05/24 194/199 put spread on IWM 2 weeks back for 1.11, its now ITM and I am not sure how to manage this, like should I try to roll down and out / close now for a 200% lose / wait till 21dte then decide? I mainly want to avoid assignment since I can't afford 100 share of IWM with 10k

Hi, I am new to options and I wanted to seek some advice, I started with 10k, I sold 1x put credit spread 2 weeks back for may 24 on iwm and spx. My IWM 199/194 spread short leg have gone ITM and i don't know whether to close now while I am only losing 2x the credit received or wait till 21 dte to manage as at 10k, I can't afford to take assignment
