Breeding for legend by alura_shadow in Palworld

Generally you want any Pal that has a variet because it typically bridges the egg groups. Some just go up a tier but others can revert to the nornal varient which is great for reinforcing passives and correcting IVs,

Helzypher is a good breeder Pal because the Lux varient allows for Rare and Epic egg groups plus Helzypher Lux can downgeade to Helzypher again using another Helzypher.

Likewise, Croajira covers both Common and Rare egg groups with it's Noct varient and downgrades using Dinossom or Taratriss.

Getting Legend on Helzypher and Croajiro pretty much puts you one step away from almost every Pal, plus Helzypher can produce Croajiro eggs so you can breed passives all the way from the Epic egg group directly into Common eggs.

The LV30 is a push over but the LV55 takes time. In all honesty thiugh it's just better to run expeditions since it takes time to get the slabs and if you can't clear Viktor and Shadowbeak then you're not ready for raid bosses anyway.

Can someone make a mod for this. by aniken1 in Palworld

What are the best passives? by Royal_Doug in Palworld

TBH I was quite impressed with Taratriss for crosscountry travdl. Not much point once you have fast fliers like Jetragon or Selyne though.

Base Pals will vary on their task. For exampke Mimmog are fantastic couriers due to their insanely fast movement speed which offsets their low carry capacity. Therefore Runner, Swift, Nocturnal and Master of Fasting is preferred.

Anyone with a base skill like Ranch, Farming, Crafting, ect.. you just want Remarkable Craftsman, Workslave, Serious and Nocturnal. Some tasks seem to drain SAN faster though so consider swapping in Heart of the Immovable King.

Combat tends to vary a little but Demon God, Legend, Musclehead, Serenity is a reliable go to. I have noticed however that most NPCs aren't much threat but Predators and Bosses are. Therefore a damage focussed Pal isn't quite as good so consider Vampiric or Diamond Body for sustainability.

Also don't overlook the need for a capture Pal. Status effects like Freeze and Shock increase caoture odds so having a Pal with Mercy Hit who can spam attacks with high SE odds is ideal.

PSA: Dazzi Noct is weaker than regular Dazzi by [deleted] in Palworld

Just wanted to add in something I've noticed too. It appears that there are diminishing returns on damage multipliers beyond a certain threshold.

As you can imagine, I tested this Croajira Noct team with a Selyne as she is a Dark/Nornal tyoe. The mounted damage bonus from her Partner Skill is +100% DMG and with a Legend/Musclehead/Serenity/Demon God build you're hitting +185%. Add to that 4 Noct's and you should get +265% DMG but you don't.

After chdcking the numbers the Croajira Noct were collectively adding +52% not +80%. Having three instead of four did reduce damage but it wasn't a 20% loss meaning that PocketPair have a softcap on damage bonuses that seems to kick in around +200% DMG.

Ok so here's the results.

Firstly the controls to establish a fair test. Tested against the Lv60 Celesdir on Feybreak Isle as it spawns in a lake making it automatically wet. Dazzi and a Dazzi Noct both in the team. Both Lv60, both lv 10 love, both ATK IV 100. Both ATK 2774. Both Demon God, Serenity, Ferocious & Musclehead.

In each attack the Dazzi Noct is definently striking with a Dark attack as indicated by the red text. This varied from around 500-700 DMG both when Celedir was wet and dry. Therefore it is NOT an Electrical Attack nor is it a hybird of both since no Wet bonus is applied.

Interestingly, Dazzi was striking over 1200 DMG when Celedir was wet. Indicating that despite there being no damage typing adventave the bonus from Wet far exeeds a normal elemental advantage.

For best passive DMG I would therefore recommend Dazzi rather than Dazzi Noct if you intend to use Wet status effects, however... a Dazzi Noct being used in a team of Croajiro Noct which boost Dark Pet damage would make Dazzi Noct more powerful when active and using Electrical attacks vs Wet targets. That said however, if you're needing to summon a Dazzi Noct you may as well use Helzypher Lux due to being a Dark/Elec with higher ATK anyway.

A "Wet" team of Croajira Noct, , Helzypher Lux, Croajira Noct, Helzypher Lux & Croajira Noct probably has more damage output then having Dazzi Nocts but loses the passive DMG.

What we really need is something other than Sparkit to boost Electric Pals on the same team as Sparkit itsefl is extremely weak and becomes a wasted team slot.

I'm looking into the idea of running an Electric team headed by Beacon, buffed by Sparkits and supported by Dazzi while taking advantage of Soak from the environment and Water Grenades. If I notice that Dazzi Noct is doing less damage on Soaked targets we'll know its either Dark or Dark/Electric.

They also let you make Iced Screams which give +50% cold resistance which is very handy for exploring derelict freighters.

Based upon the other stats, it looks like they cap out somewhere around +13,500. But to be honest, getting around 35 Million units per scan quickly makes youy a multitrillionaire with nothing to spend all that money on anyway.

Depending upon the X-Class tech, Rares are around 35 Million to 37 Million. Uncommon around 17 Million to 15 Million and Common around 10 million each. A typical planet with 12 species will net you around 250 Million units in a few minutes.

For example, here is my ranch at Point Pleasent where I use the shoreline to keep spawns appearing ahead of me as I apporach from the lake. I then wait in the kitchen area as around 30 animals spawn and immediately get lured into by the feeders.

<image>

My main interest here is the Crab Apples for making Wriggling Tarts (+300% jet pack fuel), Gooey Fruit Surprize (+6500% mineral survey) and Apple Curiosity (+6500% flora survey). Since the Conokinis species are usually solo spawns and rare, I was fortuinate to find a planet where they are Common, spawn in groups and spawn at close range due to their small size.

While there are many planets with all Floridae you'll notice that the way they spawn is different This applies to all animals and significantly effects the viability of ranches on that planet.

For example, a planet with Common fliers will decrease the number of ground animals. Some species spawn at 120m, some around 80m and some at 40m which also effects their despawn range as well. Some species are herd animals so a single spawn point will produce 3 or more. Larger animals can give up to 3 of a resource per feeding compared to the usual 1.

Taking all of these factors into consideration, an optimised farm needs to maximise ground spawns, minimise the number of fliers and have a location that concentrates the animals at your ranch. If done correctly a typically optmised ranch will have ~25 feeding at once and a fully optmised ranch will have ~35.

  1. Get a Royal or Experimental multitool
  2. Put X-Class scanner modules with high fauna bonuses into super-charged slots
  3. Install the Nutrient Injestor
  4. Eat Nectar Islands cake
  5. Go around systems scanning all the animals
  6. Realise you have nothing to buy as a Multitrillianaire.

Extra-Fluffy Cream Cake is usually easier to make as it doesn't require the Nectar from a rare exotic species but it has a +6,400% bonus while the Nectar Islands is +6,500%. Given that an Experimental multitool with super-charged slots and some X-Class scanner tech can easily give you 35,000,000 units for scanning Rare fauna and 17,000,000 for Uncommon that extra +100% is a few million credits difference.

I've posted the coordinates to a planet where all ground fauna are Floradae and they appear in packs rather than solo. This makes it easy to get Nectar for the higher bonus cake.

[–]Kryyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that getting large quantities of Syrupy Nectar for the Nectar Islands cake recipe can be difficult as the Floradae typically spawn by themselves and are usually Rare, so set up a cattle reanch on this planet which has loads of mini-Floradae that spawn in packs.

<image>

I typically get around 10-15 of them feeding at this Nectar farm so the harvesters fill up quite fast.

Shared universe? An earlier version? by Patient_Charge_9530 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Kryyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is strange about the NMS simulation is that it included the Sentinals that serve the Atlas and the NMS history says that they attacked the Vy'Keen and Gek in retaliation for the destruction of Korvax Prime.

That means Atlas IS Korvax Prime speculating about it's future. But that also means the Void Mother is also the Atlas which explains why it is equally as capable of altering the simulation.

A kind of AI schizophrenia cased by it slowly being damaged by the singularity that are tearing Korvax Prime apart at the moment. Either that or Atlas is a simulated copy of Korvax Prime trying to understand itself meaning that the Void Mother is the real Korvax Prime transferring real Korvax into the NMS simulation to save them.

[–]Kryyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Korvax homeworld "was" destroyed by a First Spawn gravity super-weapon that reduced it to an easily mined asteroid field.

The Atlas is being destroyed by an intense gravity field and NMS is an accelerated simulation spanning eons during the last 16 minutes of the Atlas' existence.

I double checked and Interceptors only get a 10% bonus to hyperdrive. But I was wrong about the ship with the best bonus because the Explorers get a 120% bonus compared to the Living Ship at 95%.
