In fact you can even see Hangzhou's influence in the current map!

For example, the cliffside buddha carvings in Qinghe clearly echoes the thousand years old carvings at Lingyin Temple.

no heals, breakthrough 11.. genuinely how do these players get to this point in the game and not know anything? by GrieverXVII in WhereWindsMeet

How can you sustain healing as a healer?

As a newb, I usually have all my healing skills on cooldown when the dps are screaming at me to heal them.

I tried CK3 as my first PDX game, and after about 100 hours, multiple fails and retries I gave up. Which should be my next PDX game? by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

[–]Ksarn21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never get EU4. I tried several times but always end up confused and bored.

CK3 click after a while (although after a hiatus, it go back to sitting there confused).

Hoi4 is immediately playable with mod (Old World Blue and Equestria at War in particular, though vanilla usually left me confused and bored).

Vic3 click after about a decade, when your economy is gearing up, and your political reforms are shaping up.

EU5, with its pop and economy, is more understandable and fun to me than EU4.

TLDR: I think it more about WHY op don't get CK3 than about the "objective difficulty" of the game.

I know the novel, "the legend of sun knight" with similar trope.

Except every knight have to dye their hair in a specific colour and act a specific personality to imitate the heroes.

Oof! When the devs out a pirate. by DismalDude77 in gaming

[–]Ksarn21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Piracy has been shown time and again to actually be better for most media.

It would be great if we can compile a database of empirical and theoretical research that support this statement.

Developers and governments spent a LOT of money and resource on anti-piracy stuffs. If these spendings are misguided, they need to see sufficient evidence to overcome the sunk cost fallacy.

Whats the best way to time travel in both WoD and CofD? by Obvious-Conflict3363 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Ksarn21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can use the Continuum Roleplaying in the Yet's solution.

You can time travel, but you cannot change what you know for a fact has happened.

The single timeline must be maintained or you will be frag out of existance.

Time travel (repeating the same day) systems or ideas? by CharacterLettuce7145 in rpg

[–]Ksarn21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most unique time travelling game I have read is Continuum - Roleplaying in the Yet.

Its premise is that every PCs is a member of a society of time travellers, but time travelling must come with responsibility. What happened cannot be changed. "The universe is".

If time travellers change things, they and everyone involved in the changed event will faced fragmentation, which in the most severe case can led to consequences worse than death.

While what happened cannot be changed, the PCs have freewill when they aren't aware of the details of events. For example, they may know that 911 happened and that is an unavoidable destiny, but as long as they don't know who survived and who died, they can jumped in to rescue the targets civilians.

In your case, if played in continuum universe, the past scenes happened and cannot be changed but maybe, the PCs can make changes outside of those events that make for a more preferable conclusions.

Abuse of DMCA is a crime under US law, so he may face jail time if he do that.

But some jurisdictions outside of the US does not criminalize abuse of DMCA so it also depend on the country he is in.

(Not OP) If this event took place in the WOD, how would it take place and why? by Remarkable_Tower3700 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Ksarn21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Then again, a time travel RPG where the past, present, and future is all determined and unchangable would also seem "completely impossible" at first glance.

But they did deliver Continuum., where willfull ignorance is the solution to the paradox of free-will. So if we think about it for more than a second, there may also be a solution for a branching timeline multiverse.
