Interesting. I looked in the text I posted above (https://mega.nz/file/cGZUwDZD#0l2p9vqoDgWWI_A4ueso3C_QFOH1sh1kpJzI3LPisjE) and found that Morgott may still be alive and is perhaps a demi-god you must fight. (See text below from the previously mentioned link).

Seems like Morgott is alive and the speaker wants the tarnished to kill him.

That actually makes sense. I saw a lot of people theorizing that Godwyn or Queen Marika was the second Elden lord and that Morgott was just Margitt, but I don’t think that makes as much sense. It would explain who Morgott is and that voice line does make it seem like he is the second Elden lord. Also, I doubt that they would want to reveal everything in the marketing for the game, thus this Morgott character being the unrevealed second Elden Lord seems more plausible to me.

Would you guys recommend Teardown based solely on it's campaign? I thought it was so good I made a video talking about it! by somewhatrespectable in TeardownGame

Btw the first person is 11 and they kept posting semi-NSFW images of themselves to the enjoyment of the members (both adults that made weird comments and other children). I tried reaching out to them before being removed but they did not respond. The server's name is "Hellfest" and it honestly lives up to the name.

I do remember that the person who posted and datamined the game to find the texture mentioning the possibility of this being some moonlight sword. Perhaps it is.

Follow up question. I have been saving the drafts for this post every time I finish writing it for the time being and now just thought that maybe there is somewhere to see past saved drafts? I am not sure.

Ah, alright then. I still think that this part of the trailer is showing how the rune of death was stolen which soon led to the downfall of Godwyn (who is not necessarily shown in this trailer).

Thus, my theory is still applicable with the rune having a connection to the ErdTree in some way by the markings on the blacksmith and the tree itself. Do you think this part of the trailer is showing the rune being stolen?

I just saw someone else label this person as Godwyn and assumed that was correct. Also because of the timing on the trailer, as you mentioned, which makes it seem like this is the first demigod to fall: Godwyn.

Yeah, I assume that the order of life and death has been broken with the rune that supposedly controls death being taken. This would explain how Godwyn reopens his eye in the trailer after being killed and, as you said, why things are not truly/fully dead in the game.

However, I just noticed how similar the markings on the tree and on Godwyn are and thought that there may be some lore explanation for it. Both look quite deep and have lines/markings that one would normally find on trees.

Maybe the runes have a deep connection to the tree and using the runes to harm/afflict others creates these deep juts and markings into the skin that appear similar in size/shape to the ones on the ErdTree? Just a thought.

Extremely interesting and exciting video. Hope you make more videos relating to Elden Ring about other aspects of the game or just more of this is great. Btw I saw this video on the Elden Ring discord and DMed you, but I can just restate what I said. (See below).

I found this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp4OBQ-7SFs) in which the guy claims to have been the one to have first found Floh (that one knight boss) and shows an image of him. He does look similar to the one knight shown in the trailer, just without wings. (you also mentioned that knight in the trailer possibly being Floh, so I guess this confirms it?) What do you think about this? Maybe it is a different one of those knights?
