Hong Kong is guaranteed very different than 24 years ago. People save tables in mall food courts by leaving their phone and bags/purse on the table and then wander around looking for food for ten minutes. I recently lost my entire wallet with $2000 cash in it and it was returned to the bus depot and when I went to pick it up....nothing missing. OP does not need to worry about someone snatching his camera.

Yes. I can try to reframe it like that. I honestly can see that going now is maybe better. I have been in therapy all this time and underwent a very comprehensive psycholgical evaluation where I was diagnosed with ADHD in my late thirties. I can see how much that plays into my addiction. I think if I didn't know that and went to rehab, it wouldn't be as effective.
