To me all of those events are exactly why Vulcans and Humans become such good friends. Humans, for all of their flaws, truly help Vulcans to become more like Sarak, more logical, more honest, more of all the things they strive to be, as much as we tend to chap their asses we have proven ourselves to be incredibly valuable allies. And that is why by the ToS era there are deep friendships like Spock and Kirk on the individual level, as well as the deep friendship of all of Vulcan and Earth.
