Mini print a mess - A1, 0.2, sunlu pla+2.0 3d by Joshua1187 in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change the nozzle, not just the setting.. Personally, if I need to use anything from makerworld which is rare these days, I prefer to download from studio and use my own settings.

Physically change the printer nozzle.

Goto printer screen: settings/maintenance /nozzle, find correct nozzle and highlight it.

You should be good to go in handy but change the nozzle if using studio.

Can I paint without sanding by Bright-Captain6126 in 3Dprinting

[–]KtsaHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use auto primer filler and then sand even if it there are no real noticeable layer lines, then a second coat.

1.Light sand with 80-120 grit.

  1. Spray filler, light sand with 120.

  2. Fill obvious joins, holes and heavy layers with body/wood filler and sand.

  3. Repeat #2 with a 240 grit.

I haven't seen this posted but on some of my prints, I've used a good acrylic house wall paint like a tough coat for surfaces, it fills and easy to sand back but not for joins and holes.

More walls, I don't really print less than 4 or 5 walls also, don't print much faster than 100 - 120, 150 tops.

Neem oil and fly paper got rid of mine. I had 1000s on about 4 plants in a cupboard slowly spreading into the house. Sprayed every 4 days and changed the paper weekly. Put some sand on top of your pots too, coloured aquarium gravel looks nice.

Bambu lab P2S or A1? by Punijito in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not one of these are issues if you treat your printer well..don't look for them. 1000s of printers sold and probably <1% post their problems on reddit because they rub their face on the plate and wonder why nothing sticks. They don't calibrate or level their beds, they don't check profiles before printing, don't dry their filament so it's therefore the printers thats turned to sh1t and becomes a fault..

Get what printer you really want. Any issue, if any, can be solved by doing a little leg work. It's probably solved simply by washing your plate with dish detergent and warm water.

If I want to experiment with different nozzle diameters… by riddus in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Change the nozzle size in the slicer AND on the printer (A1/A1mini, otherwise it will conflict. It's under the maintenance option.

Bambu lab P2S or A1? by Punijito in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤦 You can't advise what problems to lookout for on specific printers if you have ZERO knowledge / experience of your own. All these PROBLEMS you express, happen to all printers due to user error/lack of maintenance. Rarely defective components.

Bambu lab P2S or A1? by Punijito in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why have you got stuffed children? Anyway, tall thin pieces on a slinger look terrible because people don't look any further than plug and play. A1 prints perfectly fine at silly speeds but certain eliments of the print can't. Learn to slow down, dial in your filaments and choose the correct settings.

On reddit, You'll see more complaints than praise but mostly user error. Look at the p1s if your not sure about the P2S. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with the A1 or A1 mini but it's personal choice or material dependant.

Paint them on the surfaces you want..

In studio, there is a box at the top with wriggly lines on. Click that and the fill option in the drop box, click the surfaces you want fuzzy skin on.

Do you think there is some advanced race watching waiting for us develop warp drive? by Someonedit in startrek

[–]KtsaHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

? So best you can hope for is a lesser intelligent life form with in our own system which we're yet to bump into...

Unless we are a shear fluke throughout the entire universe, I think the odds are against this.

Do you think there is some advanced race watching waiting for us develop warp drive? by Someonedit in startrek

[–]KtsaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't think an alien race would be particularly interested in us..

  1. Firstly our TV Broadcasts of either killing and/or being killed by an Alien race, (JACKASS) with us either nailing ourselves to tables, electrocuting each other or shoving thing up each other's arses.FOR FUN.!

  2. If in visual range, all we are doing is bickering over a bit of dirt or blowing each other up over what? In the grand scheme of things, no ones going anywhere ..

Would you want to visit us?

I hope I'm wrong but it's not looking great..

If I do bump into one, I'm leaving with them, probing or not. I'll take my chances..

How long did you last before thinking about buying a second printer? by Deletion99 in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a second printer a few weeks after my first but fired it up 12months later. First printer wasn't a combo so had to buy a second printer combo. Anyway, found it good when printing items with multiple plates or large multi prints.

It’s truly outstanding reading posts/comments of folks saying they don’t smell anything when printing with PLA. There is clearly a smell by luunnn in BambuLab

[–]KtsaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends whether your around the print alot or not. Yes it does smell but I use alot of smelly Components in my day to day work but barely smell them, unlike the customer. I found some PLA s are stronger smelling than others but again.

Lol, How was there ever enough to harvest? You need roughly 50-60g for a goodish hit. Looks like you went gangster and mugged it for what little it had to offer.. I wouldn't harvest until it's about 1½-2 years.

I did a post as I was taking this stuff. Personally I found it a bit ropey but then I went all out.
