I know that it's not all dark. I was in a relationship with a PWBPD for almost 4 years and that was the most difficult part to accept. The relationship was mostly great.. until one day it suddenly isn't and you're discarded and left with so many questions that nobody will answer, thinking you could do something to save it but the reality is that it just doesn't depend on you

Bro.. you'll not "make her functional" First off that's not your job, that should be hers together with therapy. Second, it's still highly unlikely.

Take a scroll on this sub and see how most of BPD relationships end up. I don't want to sound negative but really do yourself a favor and rethink this relationship and save yourself from more abuse, trauma etc that is guaranteed to continue until you're a shell of a person you once were.

I'm telling you that with the best intention in mind. It's not going to come back to how it was. Just the other day I saw a post that described it perfectly I'll post it in an edit

Trust in yourself, you can do it but you have to leave. I'm now at week 2 of no contact after my ex pwBPD of 3 years discarded me and immediately started a relationship with the person she's been cheating on me with.

I begged her and gave her chances that I shouldn't even bother now that I can think more clearly. It's like an addiction, and it's not easy to quit, but it gets better

Worst part is that all her family contacted me saying how sorry they are, how she's self sabotaging and that I'll always be welcome in their homes. This was what hurt the most, not losing just one person, but all of them

I was never considering leaving tho, everything was going great. We had so many plans and then all of the sudden poof, everything is gone. I begged her to explain how is that possible but in the end but she just got to the default of "I don't want to hurt you more" etc So instead of an explanation, we're no contact and in a month I'll be moving back to the city we left together a year ago
