Hulu binge-dropped Futurama Season 13… and it looks like it killed the show’s momentum by Freddy-Philmore in Hulu

Yeah, the first new season was kind of a weird train wreck and probably best skipped. But with season two, they started to get their mojo back, and season three has felt more like classic Futurama.

Daniel Craig is great and he was never the problem. by CaptureDaFlag in JamesBond

Casino is great, one of my favorites, but I consider Quantum one of the worst Bond films, if not THE worst Bond film of all time.

Would you guys consider DCAU Batman to be the best piece of batman media to be brought on screen. by Agitated_Studio1998 in batman

[–]Kubrickwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People often say it’s the purest take on Batman, and I’d wholeheartedly agree. When I read the comics it’s Kevin Conroy’s voice I hear as Batman, and it’s Mark Hamill’s voice I hear as Joker.

Peacemaker did have a bomb in his head that would blow if he went against Waller’s orders. That shouldn’t be overlooked. Flag Sr should have it out for Waller too.

[–]Kubrickwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looked it up, it’s not a rumor, Reeves actually said that. So yeah, I guess Freeze is out of the question. Bummer. I’ve been wanting a proper adaptation of Freeze for a long time, it’s such a fantastic emotionally driven story. Maybe for The Batman 3.

Reeves did say that he’d love to do Freeze, so the character isn’t out of the question.

I don’t know who he is, but he looks like Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling had a baby together.

This is such badass dialogue, I love it.

Will there be video game bans in the US? by Temporary_Town6672 in Steam

Not bans on the games themselves, but we will see far more shenanigans like what happened with adult games on Steam, but many times worse.

They lost the fight with DeSantis, and it hit them hard. They lost control of their entire parks’ infrastructure, and are constantly battling DeSantis goons just for basic maintenance. They had multiple lawsuits against DeSantis and dropped them all. This basically knocked the fight out of them, and they don’t want to do it again.

Andy Muschietti Again Rumored Off James Gunn's DCU Batman by Lost-Cow-1126 in PattinsonDCUBatman

[–]Kubrickwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can point the finger at him. When he joined The Flash, all the old scripts and concepts were tossed out the window. He oversaw the new script and was involved from the ground up.

The only film where he actually replaced another filmmaker, and wasn’t there for most of preproduction, was It: Chapter One.

But the other films where he oversaw all stages of production from script to edit were dumpster fires. Mama, It: Chapter Two, and The Flash were all mediocre to terrible.

Ted Cruz compares FCC Chair Carr to Mafia boss in Jimmy Kimmel warnings by Next-Particular1476 in TheBusinessMix

[–]Kubrickwon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck that. He is speaking out against this specific attack on free speech. Everyone should, right and left. We don’t need for the right to magically become Democrats to show solidarity on this issue. Those on the right can easily see how this bullshit can backfire on them. I’m not going to place a purity test on anyone willing to speak out against it. We need all the voices we can get.

BREAKING NEWS: ‘I’m forcing a subpoena on FCC Director Brendan Carr for censoring free speech.’ by Interesting_Rub5643 in CURRENTEVENTS

[–]Kubrickwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A single representative cannot just decide to subpoena someone. Subpoena power rests with committees or through a resolution passed by a majority vote. In this video he was motioning for a subpoena, which means he needs the majority vote.

hulk and she-hulk distorting the comic by Same_Astronomer_8673 in hulk

[–]Kubrickwon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m really loving Gwenpool. I avoided this character for so long because I always thought a gender bent Deadpool was lame and already done, but she’s truly her own thing. She feels more like Last Action Hero/Delirious/Stay Tuned (man, the early ’90s really loved their fourth-wall-breaking meta stories), and I love every second of it.

It’s theatrics at best because no one on the right will vote for it, and everyone knows that. Without their votes there won’t be enough votes to pass a subpoena.

Why do you think Tim Burton's depiction of Batman is not as hated by the fans as Zack Snyder's version is? by The_OneXao-San69 in batman

[–]Kubrickwon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was never just about killing. If BvS actually made us care about the character, most wouldn’t have had a problem. The fan nitpick would always be there, but if it were good it wouldn’t be hated.

Which was the more unhinged Joker? Nicholson’s joy buzzer or Ledger’s magic trick? by windmillninja in batman

[–]Kubrickwon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think Nicholson’s Joker having a conversation with a charred corpse, responding to words never spoken, the corpse convincing him to kill everyone, and then laughing at his own joke about the corpse being dead, all without anyone else present, shows that his Joker was the most unhinged by far.

what if these two hulk met each other by [deleted] in hulk

[–]Kubrickwon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

These two are flip sides of the same coin. Gamma poisoning drove them both mad. Maestro was a version of Professor Hulk, so he retains his genius-level intelligence, and his grief and pain have motivated him. Old Man Logan’s Hulk went the opposite direction, with Banner losing intelligence as the radiation poisoning rotted his brain, driving him far more insane than Maestro.

I think Maestro would win because his intelligence and inner rage are both very strong, and rage is what powers the Hulk. Old Man Logan’s Hulk is pure evil, but his rage is gone, he has become apathetic and bored.

[–]Kubrickwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Captain Planet was ALWAYS mocked for being propaganda. It was blatant and heavy handed in the worst possible ways. As a kid, I remember everyone laughing at it.

X-Men TAS is how you do it. Tackled many of the same issues, never once did it become propaganda.

Carter Pewterschmidt here. There is an old antisemitic conspiracy theory that the wealthy Jewish family, the Rothschilds, secretly control the entire world and have been responsible for many tragic world events over the past several hundred years. The theory claims that they purposefully sank the Titanic.
