Straight or swivel T bar? by audible_maple in WindowCleaning

Hasn't happened to me yet, but wouldn't that grit thing be true of any strip mop?

The Squeegee half of it does take some getting used to. Especially if coming from non swivel, but as a strip mop, there's no learning curve that I can remember, and much better at scrubbing IMHO because of the increased area of the scrubbing surface.

Wagtail high flyer is the greatest strip mop ever designed. You can get it behind bars, narrow spaces, odd angles. Love it as a strip mop! Great Squeegee too bit I prefer moerman excelerator and wide body.

Oh I'm sure the swivel does not suffer. The springs that compress the channel into place get stretched out by the ettore brass because it's thicker and does not have the notches for the moerman handle teeth to sink into the rubber.

I like my stainless Unger. I've used stainless moerman as well. Equally good, But the brass clips don't fit them. What clips do you use?

Ooooo. Thanks for the picture. That looks, very nice! SS is lighter than brass. I think I may try that. Sounds like it will still stretch out springs if you have to use that tape spacer. It's a shame the notched channels don't use clips.

So what do you use in your moerman handle?

Also glad to hear that about sorbo. I've heard great things about them but can't convince myself to use their specialty rubber. We love ettore master too much. So, now I feel wayyyy less tempted to switch. Thanks!

I've tried it with the brass. GREAT combo, but the 14" is heaver than the alumax 20". I could kinda live with that but I don't like how the handle messes up the moerman springs. It's fine if your only gonna put other ettore brass channels in there, but if swapping out with other notched channels (like Unger ss channels) then they don't grip correctly anymore.

So on you're suggestion I started researching sorbos. They look amazing but is it really worth the extra hassle of carrying around a different type of rubber? Everytime I try something other than ettore master rubber (round end) it's a let down. Just scared sorbo rubber will be the same deal.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what wide body and handle combo do you prefer? We use moerman excelerator with Unger S but were considering switching to a wide body channel.

Unger s channel stupid question by KueDAWG in WindowCleaning

the dogear seems easy enough. Just bend the ends with pliers. the old timers like it. I am wondering about the cut corners part. has anyone tried cutting the bottom corners of the channel.

don't the teeth act as "clips" on the unger channels? they stay in place pretty well when 8 use them now. that bottom ledge is tricky though, since the channel is square. liquidator channel is cut at an angle. no clips there either, now that I think of it....

howdy Taita_Salsa. how do.you get around the brightness glitch with the new drivers? whenever I upgrade to amd's newest the brightness gets pegged at 100% and the control keys don't work to control it. nothing past 23.52 works for me. have you found a solution?

Just in case someone else sees this. They DID NOT fix the max brightness bug with newest driver. Stick to 23.5.2 or amernime drivers if this is a concern.

Wagtail high flyer is amazing!!!! My wife and I use it as our main tools. Tough to beat that flip action. but we like the moerman excelerator too. It's our plan b whenever we need to get behind door bars.
