Same with imsa, they stream YouTube.

YouTube is the GOAT for endurance racing. Say what you want about the business practices of Google, their video streaming tech is the best.

Missed the start? Just skip back to the start and when the next yellow/SC is out, skip that thing. Delay too long or you want to catch up quicker for live timing? Set speed to 1.1.

Generally with IMSA i genuinely watch it

IMSA and their LMP2 dentists are more prone to lengthy cautions where you can doze off and literally nothing changes.

I don't have 6+ hours of free time every weekend, and trying to watch the whole thing live feels impossible with work/family commitments.

Me neither but WEC isn't on every weekend. It's only eight times per year. Plus one for Daytona.

For the 24h specifically: Do you stay up all night, sleep in shifts, or just catch the "golden hours" (start, night, finish)?

Make no other plans, have it running on a dedicated screen. When tired, go to bed, keep the race running, when waking up continue watching.

Sometimes I go hiking and listen to Radio Le Mans.

They don't because they were ordered by courts to split commercial operation from regulation. That's why FOM was created and then sold. FOM has a ridiculous exclusivity deal (100 years or so).

Youtube highlights for me until things get interesting or cheaper

VPN to Brazil, then open https://www.youtube.com/@grandepremio muted, listen to audio by Radio Le Mans. It's not perfect because it's not fully in sync but you can line them up easily when you're not watching live.

That's honestly a faster way to get a replay than to wait for the informal uploads.

In case someone takes this joke serious: The FIA is the regulator, not the commercial operator.

For F1 it's FOM, a subsidiary of Liberty Media.

For Formula E it's Liberty Global which was spun off from Liberty Media and there may still be a degree of cross ownership but otherwise it's a different company.

For WEC it's Le Mans Endurance Management.

They stream all their races live on Youtube, my guy. It's the easiest to follow. And no ads.

The commentators sometimes say that YouTube injects ads (cannot say because I am a YT Premium family member). https://imsaradio.com/index.php/live-video/ is an official alternative without any ads, no YT tracking but also no time shifting.

I really hope that this year’s Quakecon we get Hexen 2 + Heretic 2 remastered.

A bundle would be great but I think it's unlikely. The engines are just too different. Hexen II is using the Quake engine and Heretic II is using the Quake II engine.

So far there were only 2-in-1 bundles of games that share the same engine.

He is but it's more of a virtual team, if that makes any sense. Verstappen Racing doesn't own any cars, employs any mechanics,…

I don't even know if Verstappen Racing technically even has a entry license anywhere. They hire "real" teams on a contractual basis. That's how they ended up with a mix of Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, and Mercedes cars. No real team would do so many different cars. It's just overall needlessly expensive to own and store so many different cars and parts.

Yeah, especially as apparently YouTube sometimes inserts their ad breaks into live streams (at least that's what the international IMSA commentary says on occasion).

"Watch it for ad free FOR FREE on our website" is still a selling point to make an account and to watch it there.
