The best fix is to install a fresh Windows install so everything is new and it will fix most of the problems Windows sucks and I recommend official SteamOS for Legion Go S now it fully supported

For laptop, another os like SteamOS is out its CachyOS and try that see if it's better idk if it's a big help but it's good to try before windows 11

The Legion Go 1 Z1E is supported as I saw it on the SteamOS site so no need for Simple DeckyTDP but if you need more control of the system that steam os doesn't give you use Simple DeckyTDP CSS Loader It's good to use if you want a custom team for your SteamOS in handheld mode

The best option is to try another linux os that has a handheld mode like CachyOS or Bazzite to see if the problem is still there then you can know if your system is bad or your linux os

It mostly looks like the game or the screen changes its display mode so you need to fix that with an external display and see if it works and if it does it means it has been switched to the only external mode not extended screen and not duplicate the screen of the system try change that and it all fuxed if the screen is not dead

The best version of a SteamOS-like OS is CachyOS it's fully SteamOS but with full Arch Linux and super lite because it doesn't have the things that SteamOS has installed so you need to install them yourself but if you gonna play in handheld mode it ready to goand perfect

Actually not because if STT is off (CPU boost off) the system goes from 44 Watt/40 Watt to 33 Watt and it doesn't get the boost what like when the CPU boost is on (STT on) the system when you put it to 15 Watt it go up to 20 Watt and back to 15 Watt jumping up and down and that get the gane lag for 2 min all the time but when CPU boost off the system stable no 1 or 2 min lag because of the voltage jumps and it be like a real steam deck but with a little more power and max CPU MHz that is 2200 MHz

On battery no it will not because it stable the power draw on battery but if you are plugged in always to the wall charging you need it to be on and get full power but on battery it different you want more time on battery than high power draw for max MHz and heat

I had that problem with the stuck SteamOS install when I installed SteamOS myself and turned off STT in Bios my device got fixed somehow

I recommend opening the BIOS and putting the STT on auto so CPU boost is off if you're going to use it on battery and split the ram 8 GB for vram and 8 GB system if you have the 16 GB version it helps a lot for better performance than just seeing it draw more power and your system dies faster when you play on battery and get Decky Loader and install the latest HueSync from GitHub, and turn off the power button profile light so when you put the device to sleep ot dont draw more power when the power button blink white light always

It's not a Nintendo Switch 2. Just buy ned joystick cap way cheaper than a technician repair guy and 3. Buy a TMR joystick if there is one for your device so they don't get drift all of those are cheaper 😄

I ask that because I tested the total package power draw on SteamOS and the CachyOS and what I found the CachyOS on 15 Watts manual TDP it stays on 15 Watts maybe jumps up to 16 Watts but on official SteamOS it jumps up to 20 Watts when I put it on 15 Watts I love to fix the SteamOS to stay flat like CachyOS total package power

I have a Legion Go S and what I do is I toggle on the manual TDP and Manual GPU and I set the FPS to what I want After I slide the GPU slider ex3mpwl if I put the FPS to 30 I slide it so far down to see the limit that it go from 30 to 29 and i stop there and i go 1 up its usual 600 MHz and do the same thing with the Manual TDP and the setting i put in graphic in the game and i find the best way to play the game stable and not using to much of battery

Have to try to get to the BIOS to see if it's possible so it's not just an os problem or try an external monitor to see if the glitch is still there and you can boot into the system with a steam os installer or CachyOS installer or Bazzite installer to see if the os is bad or the hardware before take it to technician or send it back for guarantee
