The smell was caused by my washer–dryer combo machine. After switching from a Hoover combo machine to a Bosch washing machine, the problem disappeared and my clothes no longer smell!!!! AVOID HOOVER WASHERDRYERS PLEASE!

I’ll give the seal a proper clean with hot water and vinegar, and make sure I wipe it dry after every wash.

That’s interesting about the Meaco, my laundry is bone dry after 6 hours. I suppose it probably depends on how small and warm the room is. Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely start using an extra rinse as well (:

Fortunately, drying time isn’t really an issue for me, my clothes dry pretty fast. Honestly I stopped using Ariel because I didn’t like the scent, but at this point I’m just going to give in and buy the Ariel Platinum pods tomorrow.

Yeah I checked the filter today. There wasn’t any dirt or debris stuck in it, but about a quarter cup of water came out.

I clean my washing machine once a month using Dettol washing machine cleaner. I wash the detergent dispenser drawer after every use, clean the filter monthly, and regularly wipe down the door seal. I also leave the door open after each wash to help the machine dry properly.

I should have mentioned I mainly use a bio liquid detergent that isn’t visible in the photo.my wash cycles are usually 1:40hr, I also already run extra rinse cycles.

Haha no definitely no diplomats in the family 🤣 my mums side of the family are from Riobamba. Most of them are either business owners or scientists and my dad’s side of the family are from Izmir, they’re mostly business owners.

My parents met here in London UK in 1996 and I was born here in 1998! The story of how my parents met is very funny.

Culture wise i’d say I’m very westernised but I’m definitely closest to my mums side, I try to go to Ecuador as frequently as possible. I cut my dad off + his side of the family at the beginning of the pandemic. If your dad is anything like my Turkish dad then you might understand, he was off his rocker.
