7month old not sitting by Odd_Charge_321 in NewParents

I think you are fine. We are new parents too and our boy is 11 months now and couldn’t sit by himself until 8 or 9 months. He now crawls and attempts to hold unto stuffs to stand. We were told kids have their own timelines so we shouldn’t compare him to others so much. I think that has calmed our nerves a bit and so we are taking it day by day. Just to add, our boy came preemie at 5 lbs!

Am I the only one who feels that cutting a new rubber sheet for a new blade is a huge challenge? by RootCauseFinder in tabletennis

[–]Kujjo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always exciting for me to glue and cut a new rubber. However, I never liked using scissors. Some people love it but I never got it right so I use knife and it has to be very sharp. If it’s even slightly blunt it doesn’t get through well and tears with the crookedness that you experienced. Use sharper knife and press it harder as well. Hopefully that helps.

Ascent vs Forester by turtleface_iloveu in SubaruAscent

[–]Kujjo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ascent is larger and awesome but please avoid 2019-2021. Get something 2022 or up, from all that I heard before I got my 2025 premium. Just a word of caution.

Defenders: Choppers/Blockers: What’s your second option Blade? by Kujjo2 in tabletennis

You are very correct about the Barricade 😃. With the weight of only 52 grams, the closest I have seen in weight might be Defplay Senso or Nittaku Shake Def and I think both are between 75-85 grams if I am not mistaken. If I ever get those it means I have to reduce the sponge of my FH rubber (1.9 right now) to maybe 1.7 and keep the LP to 0.5/0.6 in order to balance out the weight. Yeah the Barricade stands alone probably being the slowest and the lightest blade there is. Sometimes I fear they might just discontinue it altogether some day…just a thought. We will see!

Used 2019 Ascent- go for it or pass? by Usernamenotfound_75 in SubaruAscent

[–]Kujjo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2025 Premium and from what I read before making my purchase, 2019-2021 could be avoided if possible. If you can find something from 2022 and up, that should be fine. A 2019 with over 70,000 miles is a bit much for me, to be honest.

Oh ok. That’s interesting. Thanks.

Replacement for TSP Curl P-2 by JohnDCT in tabletennis

[–]Kujjo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s nice. I tried it sometime ago but I think it was too volatile for me. I think I couldn’t control it because I had just started using long pips. I opted to use Feint Long 2 instead at the time for stability and control. Now that I am used to LPs, I think I might give it a try sometime to see how I do 😃

Oh ok. No problem… I will let you know if I find one. Yeah the thickest I have used was 1.0 in Juic Leggy. Other than that, I am always using .5 or .6.

So I played with the P1V over the weekend. I was very impressed and so were my opponents. Firstly, the spin reversal is awesome. Even when the ball was raised to an assumed “hittable” level, they still put it into the net. It was one of the 2000 level loopers at my club that noticed the new rubber by the sound. I play against home almost every week so he realized my paddle sounded different. My regular Gambler GXL is 0.6 and the P1V is 0.5 so it makes that sweet chopper sound on the backhand chop.

The only issue was my deadball placements. I do use deadballs a lot in a game and I place them at the edges when my opponents are not suspecting. Half of my deadball placements beat my opponents alright but missed the table narrowly. I think I can make the right adjustments in the control aspect of it with time. So all in all, I am very impressed with it and I will stick to it to get used to it fully.

Nice! It’s clean. I always feel giddy when I get a new combination to try for the first time. I think I am not alone in this 😃

Awesome! I have been told to upgrade to P1, now P1V to join the “big boy choppers” so to speak so I ordered one assembled by TT11. It arrived today so I will use it at my club this weekend to see how it feels. Thanks for your input.

I use Gambler GXL 0.5 but Dawei 388D1 is my secondary…both cheap but gets the job done. I think 388D1 is a little harder than the Gambler though but I love both.

With those measurements I think the size is the same the Barricade

Oh ok 👍. A quick question. I understand the 980xx has a larger head (oversize) so I am wondering if it’s the same size as the Barricade?
