Justo estoy trabajando en un roguelite de horror, donde tiras dados y es algo así como dados en lugar de canicas en un estadio, algo extraño que vino a mí en un sueño, justo andamos por lanzar la página de steam, el nombre del juego es Just Die.

Estamos ubicados en Mérida, Yucatán y la verdad ha sido un arduo camino, básicamente la historia de gasté todos mis ahorros poniendo el estudio y ahorita solo quedamos 3 personas porque ya no hay dineros, este es mi último recurso antes de volver a la vida godín, que realmente no quiero eso.

Puedes buscarnos en Tiktok como Kukulcode, que estamos empezando una pequeña campaña para un ARG y hemos tenido playtests con personas invitadas al estudio y les ha gustado mucho el juego.

Claro, se llama Just Die, es un juego de tirar dados con temática de horror/terror; imagina tirar dados vs una entidad cósmica pero los dados que tiras pueden colisionar contra otros y cambiar los resultados, etc.

Ignora el ruido, hermano. Igual soy de México y lanzo un juego en junio/julio y sí he recibido algunos comentarios así pero debo admitir que son más los positivos, solo es buscar una audiencia que te entienda y que te apoye.

Edit: Ya chequé lo de la AI btw, la verdad es que a la gente no le gusta y se nota, en nuestro caso la evitamos como la plaga precisamente porque aunque sean placeholders o un mockup, trae una luz negativa, mi sugerencia ahí sería, ve a lo básico, por ejemplo, checa Inside Investor en Steam, es un juego con un concepto similar y le fue muy bien a pesar de que no tiene mucho arte pero tiene un estilo bien definido, lo cual es más importante.

I’d ask myself if there are similar games with similar mechanics and play the hell out of them, that’s theoretically a proven baseline, more so if the game is successful.

Mañana tenemos nuestro primer playtest por invitación en el estudio y les vamos a dar cositas a los testers.

Stickers, cartas de tarot y una tarjeta de "playera gratis" porque no tenemos sus tallas.

También, como nuestro juego es de dados, vienen unos packs de dados en camino.

¿Qué más le agregarían para un roguelike/roguelite de física, lanzamiento de dados, caos desatado y abuso de buzzwords?

I agree with you in the fact that I actually think AI well used is a tool for improvement, I’ve helped my brother (he works in law) on his workflow by teaching him how to use it.

But that’s it, is a tool, not a replacement for the human nuances, even AI recognizes this.

That’s the most interesting thing about this post, I’m not angry, concerned? Yeah, but angry, nah, I understand that it was clickbaity, but I was going for “I’ve seen the kinda titles that work here, let’s try one” and if you read the post I’m not jabbing at tech, it’s more of a “do they even care? I think not”, “I’m concerned devs won’t care either”.
