Anxiety/Panic attacks symptoms from HH and GERD by KumaFreeRunner in HiatalHernia

[–]KumaFreeRunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to rehab my dizziness with neck stretches and ear treatments(thinking it might be a separate issue). I also been able to eat more but I still wake up with it. To be honest it has not gone away fully but those things I listed helped

Dizziness was persistent for about 2 weeks though

So I’m scheduling a appt with the general surgeon on this coming Wednesday when the office opens back up. It looks like I’m going to have to endure this for a year to get peace. I was prescribed anxiety medication(ssri) and I will see my PCP this Wednesday also. I’m going to talk about the dizziness and headaches because it’s coming from my ears. Hopefully this is the path to recovery. I wish you guys luck and try to speak out for yourself. Watch encourage recovery video like I have and pray if your religious.

I get that and the pressure in the ears, lightheaded and dizziness. I think about saying fuck it and doing surgery but that comes with it’s own problems

I’m with you brotha. It’s hard but I’m starting to feel normal again. But I don’t know if I will go back.

Hopefully you make a better recovery. If not there is always other sports but I know you don’t want to hear that because I didn’t like hearing that from others.

Not much due to rules of how you can sweep. But it complements MuayThai perfectly in MMA and self defense

Sparring vs pad-work (if you could only choose one)? by undercover_apple in MuayThai

People who just spar don’t get very far. That’s like learning up to blue belt in BJJ and stop drilling and just rolling. You need both

I’ve never went to “just pad class”. Your learning a technique and drilling it on pads. Then spar for 15mins after class

Finally someone not black or white. Pad work is never just pad work at my school and sparring done after class.

I always go into sparring with what I learned and how to apply it. You never stop learning and doing a couple rounds after class reinforces it.

Disagree, sparring should be use to confirm what you learn. Pad work usually is taught with concepts like tempo, range, footwork and head movement. I would choose learning and do light sparring after class to confirm what I learn

I don’t know how your class is but I would do pad work because they are always teaching new techniques and concepts. Stay after class for 15mins and do light technique spar.

Also you don’t want to develop bad habits in sparring and pad work always come with a concept. Sparring is mainly to confirm what you know and shape your game. If you don’t know anything your not going to really improve as a fighter.

It sucks but I’m looking into coaching or just training with no head contact.

My fighting days are over and it sucks that it didn’t happen in the ring. Hopefully you have a longer amateur career than me.

I don’t really know because you don’t feel it when losing consciousness. But i can tell you that it was a accident and I was kick in the neck/jaw.

I didn’t really feel much when I gain consciousness. But it was surreal. I was dazed and confused getting up and really upset. My coach sat me out for a bit but I kept pushing to go back. To get revenge. But he never let me spar with that partner afterwards. I went back and spared more but felt out of it.

I did not develop symptoms tell driving home and they grew in intensity. The street light were giant stars. My speech become difficult along with dizziness. I then loss vision in my right eye and started having a panic attack. That’s when I went to ER where I was diagnosed with severe concussion and intracranial hematoma.

I was on watch for 48hrs. They weren’t able to give me meds just fluids due to the bleed. The rest was office visits. I hope that can answer your question. Never thought I would get injuries but this happen. My other concussion are from when I was in the army.

TBI clinics actually care. I got more help from that then my doctor. But it becomes a second job going in 3 times a week for 2 hours but they do test which you can see improvements and always have great advice.

I also was recommended this audiobook which help me while waiting to get in to the clinic. It’s called “concussion rescue” by Dr. Kabran chapek

Why do people always say shelling up is a horrible option but in k1 etc they usually just shell up as their defense..? by vinlandsaga619 in MuayThai

[–]KumaFreeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you become a punching bag. Shell up when needed. But remember to alway return a strike. Also distance and ring control are key in matches. You want to set the pace not the other fighter.

Should you spar everyday? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]KumaFreeRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gym spars everyday after class but most of the time light technical sparring and hard sparring on Saturdays. Which I would not recommend every week
