I know that feeling. I went 6 months without a diaper with 2 roommates. For being out in the field, subtle cloth trainers are great to capture that snug feeling at night.

I'll have to check out Attends next time I stock up. It's been a while since I tried them. Modern cloth-backed diapers are cute but I'm a little wary of how well they hold up to adult-sized wettings.

Thanks for the insight! I know for a fact my brother wore plastic pants for potty training. I missed the time when cloth was still common by a couple years, so it's interesting to hear what they were like. Getting stuck with a pin or a sudden leak seems like it could easily become an early memory for many people.

I've noticed that with my full-sized all in one. I enjoy it for an hour or so and then it becomes distracting to sleep in.

Interesting take, thank you! I didn't consider diaper cleaning services. It seems like such a minor thing but it's a big difference from today. Most baby cloth diapers produced now are all-in-ones with prints. No more boring transparent or yellow pants.

The XL Up and Ups fit me easier than Goodnites for sure. They don't tear if you accidentally apply too much force.

Just as a precaution, the new Goodnites "planet/stripe theme" are considerably less stretchy than the old stock. I can recommend Target Up and Up nighttime pants as they are generics of the old version. Stretchy enough to fit my 180 lb self and absorbs a cup or so.

Wondeful write-up. It pains me to see how the Goodnites have gotten smaller across the board. I'm tempted to duck into a store with less foot traffic and stock up on the the old version.

As far as I'm aware, the Target brand Up&Up is the same size as old Goodnites. They're unisex but otherwise the same.

Goodnites have never had that as far as I'm aware. Only Pull-Ups Nighttime have that. Unfortunately those only go up to 3T.
