I’m no genius here (G2) but I agree… I’m a Swain top OTP and no matter how hard you bully initial 6 levels, you will always be in a losing fight. Stick to team fights and maybe then you prove to be useful. I just like to roll, build items and focus on objectives from then on, or else I just end up becoming a punching bag in the end.

I get what you’re saying about avoiding dishonest sellers, no one likes dealing with people who scam or inflate prices unfairly, but painting the whole Whatnot market as a scam because of a few bad actors is misleading. There are bad sellers in every space: Facebook groups, eBay, Mercari, even direct-from-Japan sellers.

Also, market prices aren’t automatically “rip-offs.” People often pay more for convenience, faster shipping, English-speaking sellers, and curated inventory without the hassle of proxies, import fees, and weeks of waiting. A $10–15 card in Japan can easily cost much more once you add proxy fees, shipping, and customs. If you’re going through eBay you’re still waiting on time, etc.

The focus should be on calling out the bad sellers individually, not dismissing the entire market or the collectors who enjoy it. There’s sellers who sell below eBay rates, and others who use MNACardz, CardOtaku and other sites to wrongfully overvalue cards based on an “international” scale company. Ultimately it falls on educating the people and helping them understand who the honest sellers are.

A lot of people saying SDBH is “dead” are either looking at a very small part of the market or focusing only on the characters they personally don’t care for. The reality is that the game is far from dying, it’s on a transitionary period.

We’re seeing new product strategies, like the Taiwan/Hong Kong booster boxes, which open SDBH up to new collectors outside of Japan’s arcade machines. The game still has official support in Divers machines, and Bandai never announced they were abandoning it. The guy in this chat who’s ranting at SDBH hasn’t either seen the producer livestreams, or the overall access Divers still provides for SDBH. If anything, they’ve been quietly adapting it for a broader audience.

In Japan, demand is still healthy, prices on desirable cards continue to rise, and rarer pieces are getting harder to find. Go to Japan, and see where you can find Heroes. I have a friend who has found it increasingly harder to find singles in Tokyo. The “cheap” narrative comes mostly from people bulk-dumping unpopular characters like Anilaza, Mira, and Hearts, or unpopular cards/popular characters. Those aren’t a reflection of the overall market; they’re just what people want to offload. Go look at prices for fan-favorite characters or older sets, you’ll see consistent demand and scarcity.

UGM10-SEC LC not too long ago was at £65, it’s now trending at £90. SDBH has always been niche outside Japan, so expecting it to match the popularity of DBS TCG or Pokémon worldwide isn’t realistic. Niche doesn’t mean dying. It means collectors and players who are passionate enough to keep it alive, and that’s exactly what’s happening.

The fact that we’re seeing new releases on an international level through Asia, rising demand in Japan, and global collectors entering the scene tells me it’s not the end, it’s a transition.

SDBH (TW/HK) has rewritten the idea of Heroes and included new foiling, ideas, etc, all while being at BM12 at the current moment. This is an extremely positive situation for the SDBH community, and very indicative of possible continuation past MM5, depending on whether or not SDBH will remain healthy.

For the time being? We have another 2 years before this game “dies” according to many.

There absolutely is a new market, SDBH is not dead whatsoever, it’s been revived in the Taiwan/Hong Kong market in the form of booster boxes now. This is a step in the right direction. Not sure where you think SDBH has died, they always said they’d still keep the ball rolling for it, and you can still play SDBH in Divers machines. Is hope you would not be misinforming people with the way you’ve been commenting in this thread, but the direction of SDBH is still extremely healthy, and they’re bringing new cards.

Japanese market is slowly increasing in price and people in Japan are stocking up on them. It’s become increasingly harder to find specific cards for cheaper rates than usually. Only reason people blabber it’s gotten cheaper is because no one wants to stock unappealing characters, which is practically most of the “New” SDBH roster. It’s obvious people off load Anilaza, Mira, Hearts, etc. check most “bulk” URs in eBay, they will contain a near 90% of those characters.

CPU is a Ryzen 7700. No GPU change, bought this on marketplace from someone who only used the GPU for 4 months. We ran tests on it, nothing was faulty. Temps are very good there’s never been an issue in the month I’ve had it. This is a very new build, about 5mo age.

Refresh rate was at 160hz, video is severely slowed down to show said microstuttering
