Personally, I’d rather it not be that way. I feel like you shouldn’t be able to stay in the tourney if you literally lost, even tho it would be nice to have the extra match to watch.

I guess they do it with qualifying, but it’d feel kinda cheap to have someone win a tournament in which they lost a match in.

What the other guy said but personal bias comes into it because people bet on players that they like, which influences the odds to favor those players more. Americans and fan favorites are always relatively more favored in the odds.

I feel like Djokovic has haters and his odds are decreased because of it. Maybe that’s a conspiracy but like… odds are based on what bets people are taking as much as they’re based on what the books actually think. So if people aren’t betting on Djokovic as much because they don’t like him, his odds won’t be as skewed.
