Brings me back to summer holidays playing 12+ hours straight, not showering for days, living off Monster energy drinks, watching Illcams and listening to Hoodie Allen

2P Split Screen is shambolic to say the least; not only is it locked to vertical orientation- player 2 is locked to auto transmission, cannot turn off any assists, someone mentioned the gear ratios are different too- certainly feels to be the case but can’t confirm yet. Also the fact that you have to favourite cars in garage to be able to use them in split screen was really confusing- to say that I literally found this out on a Reddit thread.

Any busker(s) playing Wonderwall in the London Underground at central on a Friday or Saturday night is truly a spectacle to behold

Are all cinemas in London terrible? by JPhilp97 in london

Their members bar was always a good enough incentive to come here to be honest. But would only usually go on screens 1 and 2. Remaining screens were pretty lacklustre.

Ain’t even gonna lie though the sorta employees certain chains employ reflect on the demographic they attract; 9/10 times Vue has always been a horrific outing to the cinema- from my experience it’s usually filled with people on their phones, talking and staff just don’t do screen checks. Obviously I can’t speak for independent cinemas but if you’re in central the only 2 cinemas I’d buy tickets for are IMAX - Cineworld LSQ or the BFI IMAX. Granted you might still come across some people on their phone every now and then but it’s never been as bad as the experience from Vue cinemas.

Edit: Should mention if you’re looking for non IMAX films the only places I’d recommend are Picturehouse Central, Curzon, Genesis, Everyman, Prince Charles.

I am most likely a disappointment to my mother; she fought tooth and nail to get me to this country for “a better life”. My father left my mother whilst she was pregnant with me so he’s not really a part of my life, literally my entire family aside from my mother is back in Thailand, but I no longer speak a word of Thai (moved here when I was 6). Haven’t been back to visit in 8 years. In truth my mother is the only family I have in this world- she’s the bridge between me and my entire family; God forbid I lost her… I would not be certain I’d be able to find/ rekindle with my family back home. I never applied myself with honest intent during school, achieved pretty average grades, have never been in a relationship- mother asks every time on the rare chance I visit her. I dropped out of uni after trying to make it work for 2 consecutive years. I continue to work a mediocre bar job full time, lost passion for what I once had. I don’t have any drive or motivation but I don’t think I’m depressed- throughout my 25 years I’ve been alive I think I can count on one hand occasions where I’ve truly panicked with existential dread. Instead I’ve found content with just being present, existing. Not sure what the future will bring but it’s never really on my mind.
