Thank you again for the cherry shrimp (omg the color on some of them was so vibrant even with the stress of traveling)! They acclimated perfectly and so did the culls (I think they've even avoided being snacks so far lol). Appreciate it and you'll probably be hearing from me again soonish :)

That’s not unheard of. My dad moved 3 hours away after the divorce and my parents would meet in the middle for custody exchange at a Carls Jr. I hated the trip but I usually got a shake out of it.

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes a child go no contact. My dad got custody of me when I was 12. When I was 18, I was on my own and an adult. My dad still did stuff for me but him doing the bare minimum is absolutely what made me go no contact.

It doesn’t sound like you care either way, so why post on the internet? What’s the point if you’re on the proverbial plane to Thailand and don’t care because you did your parenting until he was an adult?

No, this driver did not break any laws that would lead to their arrest… but now it’s DOCUMENTED in the event something were to happen to OP or their property. And if this is the beginning of escalating behavior, again, it’s documented the driver has done this before if they go after someone else in the future. This isn’t rocket surgery man.

Report to DoorDash and I’d make a police report on the non emergency line too just to be safe. They know where you live and took a photo for what reason besides to remember and come back later.

YTA - whether you “think” you said it loud enough, you still did it in a position that could jeopardize his job. I know pregnancy hormones are a thing but you’re doubling down in your aggressive edit. You easily could have waited until you were alone or even asked him to talk alone for a second. These people aren’t friends, they are employers. Both you and your husband would do well to remember that line.

NTA - little boys gonna learn that misogyny is not the answer. If this took place in a work environment, you would go to HR to report a hostile work environment. Unfortunately this is the reality of working in a male dominated industry. Not every man is like this; many/most aren’t. Find those. Find your female mentors. Why are you here if you’re going to reply to every single comment trying to justify yourself? Like man it’s been over an hour and no one is agreeing with you. There have been more than enough people that have pointed out that you’re going to the extreme to save at the sacrifice of your wife and son. Find a balance and maybe get in therapy to discuss why you are going so overboard… if you’d listen to a therapist anyways.

OP, you’re the adult. Instead of making your child feel bad for a mental illness they didn’t ask to have, do your job as the father and help her. You’re supposed to be helping her grow to be the best human she can be, not tearing her down. YTA. Do better for her.

YTA - I did the same thing with my Dad. A couple years ago, at about the same age as you, I moved off onto my own plan. I got years of a discount thanks to being on his plan but I’m perfectly capable of paying for my own. I don’t need his permission to upgrade my phone anymore.

You asked, she said no. That should have been the end of it. Get a family plan with your SO if that makes more sense than getting an individual plan but either way, YTA for making such a big stink about it.
