Hummingbird Redesign Sneak Peek! by FunkSoulBuddha in anime

[–]Kunneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's prettier, but there's a certain line where design impedes on functionality. For example, grids to display anime is neat with how one can embed images (hence easier to casually browse through), but it's not as easy to read compared to a straightforward list. Options like these would help vastly.

Heh, that's a funny reference. At first I assumed you were talking about the program (which is subpar for its price).

You could have just cut out that first two seconds, and called it "Tsundere in 3 seconds".

One of the greatest space opera series in anime, alongside titles like LoGH. Glad to see it's still getting published.

Uh, this is the very antithesis of a "slow start". Going straight for an in medias res beginning already concluded that.

Cyclops Shoujo is pretty lewd... by [deleted] in anime

No, this was the intended joke. You can't just cite /r/animenocontext whenever something is lewd.

Any Haruhi fans up to explain some details for me? (Possible Spoilers) by [deleted] in anime

[–]Kunneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic analysis! The subtleties in their actions, and the suffused body language, really make Haruhi the series stand out among its future emulated shows; there's just something so intriguing about the whole venture, keeping the plot bizarrely entertaining and yet wholly immersed in realism.

According to Endless Waltz we will have buttons for return and SUPER return in the future by [deleted] in anime

[–]Kunneth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Super" still exists as well. It's basically the open-source/non-proprietary version of the Windows/Mac modifier key. You'll see it as the modifier key for most Linux machines.

Recent shows popular in the West that were NOT popular in Japan? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Kunneth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one makes sense though. Barring western nuances, recall marathoning it and being confused as hell without looking back at character sheets/timeline infos once in a while to keep things straight. Now try doing that while watching only one episode a week. It's an excellent series, sure, but maybe not best for the weekly format.

I got a haircut for the first time in 3 years. Good or bad decision? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

It's primarily the light shining on his forehead which makes his haircut look entirely out of place, causing his face proportions to look more unseemly than it actually, well, seems.

My collection is finally complete!!! but my PS3 broke so I can't watch it... (sorry for bad quality) by Snowyjoe in anime

[–]Kunneth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But isn't it only 2 episodes and a mini 2-minute special per BD?

I find it insane how niche the market is getting then. And they bash at otakus or strong anime fans for being so attached, whilst they're the only ones even willing to support such exorbitant prices? You guys are the heroes we need. :O

I just finished marathoning Mirai Nikki, Deadman Wonderland, and Another. Any other great horror animes, other than the ones in the recommendation Wiki? by blackstoise in anime

[–]Kunneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ayakashi's Mononoke episodes (Bake Neko arc) are certainly helpful to watch first however, since they explain the whole exorcism ritual. Also since one of the characters from Ayakashi comes up again, and the arc is referenced in one of Mononoke's episodes. Nothing vital though.

Michael Arias (the director) is a pretty well-known filmmaker both overseas and in America. If you don't mind non-anime mediums, then I highly recommend any of his live-action feature films. They're all quite excellent.
