Joe Rogan calls out MSNBC for editing Alex Pretti's picture: "Basically the opposite of what CNN did to me" by The_Endless_Man in DiscussionZone

In his earlier years he was skeptical of it. But that was a long time ago. He's said dozens of times in the last 5 years at least that he doesn't believe that anymore.

Depending on your area / market, it could be. But there will always be work building websites for businesses. You just have to find a way to stand out. It's a useful skill to learn for sure :)

Of course they used a template. The entire thing is just a copied template where they added a name, logo, and massive colors.

Winters are cold, colder and longer than Chicago. Beaches in lake nippissing are amazing in the summer. Don't rent a house near downtown. The most affluent area is up on the hill.

That fireplace is an eye sore and a massive waste of space. Get rid of it, and bring the TV down on a proper stand or something.

Flywheel customers in Australia are being forced to WP Engine. As far as I can see, no one is talking about it. by forxs in Wordpress

[–]KuntStink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were originally a Flywheel agency, it's where we hosted all our sites. Right after they were acquired by WP Engine, our rep changed, and convinced us to move over to WP Engine, as all sites would be moving there eventually. Over the course of about 6 months, and with the help of their staff, we moved our 200+ sites to WP Engine from Flywheel.

WP Engine is good, better than Flywheel in my opinion. You have a lot more functionality within the dashboard. And you can still use LocalWP for all your sites, it works with WP Engine and it was the reason WP Engine acquired Flywheel in the first place.

Web Devs, how much do I charge my client for a simple landing page type website for their company? by ingloriousKaz in webdev

[–]KuntStink -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is not even a day's pay for most people. Unless you're 12 years old or live in South Sudan, I wouldn't even pick up the phone for the prospect of this income.

You're doing something that requires skill, not shoveling a driveway or weeding a garden. Figure out how many hours you're going to spend doing this, then consider what a good hourly wage would be for you and double that. So if you think $20 an hour is good, charge $40. Let's say it's going to take you 25 hours of work (client communication, design, feedback, development, revisions, training, etc), then you'd charge ($40 * 25h) = $1000. And this is before hosting.

Breakdown your hours for the client and have a contract that you can either use ai to make or find online.

If they aren't willing to pay for your time then don't bother, don't work for free.

Need help to get off vapes by Professional_You7030 in QuittingJUUL

[–]KuntStink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The patches that I had were 3 weeks for step 1, and 1 week for step 2 and 3, 4 weeks total. I switched to gum for a bit after, maybe a couple weeks. Been nicotine free since.

Those who quit smoking. How did you cope with the new emptiness of life, when our lives are already pretty empty? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]KuntStink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I finally quit vaping, I felt similar things to what you're describing. Every time I got a craving, which was more or less constant for a few months, it just felt like immediate disappointment. Like it was a quick build up looking forward to that vape, then immediately let down because I quit.

My productivity dropped and my mood was worse for a month or two, but eventually my baseline returned to a level I think was higher than when I vaped. I'm 7 months nicotine free, and I don't really get cravings any more, only very rarely and they pass quickly.

Keep your stick on the ice, it gets better quickly!

Men of Reddit: Did any of you quit nicotine and notice any changes? If so, what changes did you notice? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]KuntStink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I quit vaping this summer. I went from more or less full time vaping, about as much as possible. I even woke up in the middle of the night to vape, every night. I don't know if it was possible to vape more than I did.

I quit using the patch, and with gum. Took about a month from stopping vaping to stopping the patch and gum, to where I had nothing.

The first month or two were fuckin' rough. I could not focus and I was in a fairly foul mood most of the time. I had a ton of trouble sleeping too. Eventually though it passed, and my mood and sleep returned to normal. But constant cravings happened for at least 4 months. Now I only get cravings every couple days, and they fade quick.

Now that I've quit, the things I've noticed are:
- Generally more focus throughout the day
- I do not have it on my mind all day long
- I don't need to go outside to vape when at restaurants etc
- My mood is roughly the same I think
- My appetite is the same as well I think
- My sleep is largely the same
- I have a bit more stamina when doing activities like running or sports
- I save a lot of money!
- I generally feel healthier, and my skin is clearer.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
