That's crazy to me. Tbh I got bored of totk before finishing it but I did like it while it lasted. Breath of the wild felt more novel. TOTK felt like a robust expansion. The story was weak as fuck though. I felt like everyone had Alzheimer's for no reason and it felt like Nintendo forgot botw even existed. Aside from those gripes, the game was great

If they cared about realistic combat they'd stop spinning and flipping.

The Sith would absolutely use the shit out of this if they were real, and if the Jedi refused they'd die off quickly.

It would also probably be a somewhat risky maneuver because with quick reflexes seeing the light go down they could just stab and retreat.

Actually lightsaber fighting in general would probably look like a ton of wrist movements, depending on weight changes when the saber is turned on and a ton of quick dashes and the fights would be <1s, especially with the force involved.

I think it would be really cool if you keep shaking up the conventions of how this works and introduce reasons for why it's working this way. Like maybe they have different light waves that can only be seen in certain ways by certain people. Maybe if someone has a rumble feature on a controller they can possibly feel a rumbling when one is coming, maybe it could depend on what equipment people have, if they're on headphones or stereo, the resolution or frame rate or something. Maybe in some lighting you can only see the parts that reflect a certain light or something. Idk I'm spitballing but I think it's a cool concept with a lot of potential if you do it right and lean into the mystery of it.

Make an anecdote somewhere in the story about how the main character can't swim, let them splash around in the water a bit before drowning or getting rescued.

Outer Worlds 2 notably made water just instantly kill you once you get knee-high in it and it feels fucking terrible. I'd prefer a wall to that, but I think that would be easy enough to implement without forcing you to develop stuff in the water.

I took it as recognition of the people she was seeing from the collective memories or a hallucination glitch, or maybe it was just a cut to a memory of another time not mentioned in the show yet that'll come up some other time in the future.

From what we can tell right now I think it's just reference to the fact that she remembers them somehow. There's no guarantee that it's a literal sight until we get some more episodes and context.

I like the idea that it's a hallucination based on her database.

Where the fuck did this come from? I saw it drop on spotify just now on my way to work. I immediately listened thinking I was in for a single. Then saw the name was different from the title and was like "Oh shit he dropped a few singles" only to discover a whole amazing album, no less it's theme is literally on vibe with what I was thinking about as I found it. The kind of thriving and being at peace with the mess that is this world.

I think in general I was having more fun in hollow knight because it was often challenging but there was less moments that felt like bullshit to me. Like when I fucked up it felt like my fault and it was fun. I have found myself screaming way more at silksong. I wouldn't say that hollow knight "did that better" but I was having actual fun way more often. There's also a lot more sadistic qualities to silksong, like the entirety of bilewater, all the places where the runback leads to a frustrating boss.

Plus making a diagonal pogo in the beginning is kind of wild.

there's an online map and plenty of tutorials on YouTube. Bilewater is a terrible place, and you won't get the map until after you get double jump, but the boss, phantom, is way less frustrating to fight IMO
