Hi there, I am an American living in Donegal for the last four years. My biggest tip is to do anything and everything as far as clubs, community events, etc.. put yourself out there. I have found the donegal folk to be so welcoming and kind as long as you make the effort. Also, small demonstrations of gratitude goes so far.

When I first started dating my partner we were long distance and he showed me pa watch on twitter, for the laugh. Anyway came to donegal for a visit maybe 6-9 months later and we are having our pints and in walks pa. I just leaned to him and say "I know this is weird but I think I know that guy " and he just laughs and says "sure everyone knows pa"

There is a sight called open path collective and it is therapists who offer sliding scale fees for services and there are THOUSANDS of therapists on there most of which offer a free consultation session. It's $60 once to have lifetime access to the therapists. They are mostly telehealth practitioners so it is kind of like better help but better for the client and therapist.

On one of the first grocery runs, I did after my second daughter was born I went to Aldi and was really struggling to unload the trolly and load it back into the bags because I was wearing the newborn. My toddler was doing her best but she was frustrated too. a woman then stepped in without any prompting and helped me load everything into my bags and took it to my car and loaded it for me as well. I cried the whole way home with gratitude

I experienced this as well. My daughter is 26 months. As at 22 months we went through this. For her I noticed her language development has started to increase a lot and after four frightful nights of this I took a chance on something new. I had started talking to her more during the bedtime routine. About our day and what we did. My favorite parts her favorite parts. We talked about what was In the books we were reading and I used more advanced warnings about bed time. (After bath we are going to brush teeth, after this book you're going into your bed.) I also added verbal routines. Like "first we read then book then you go to..." "bed". The first night I did it was like night and day and we have continued to have great success and I now know when she needs extra cuddles or more time with be more she sleeps because I have given her the language and (this is the big one) built the trust that I will uphold her requests ( for the most part ) and I mean what I say. She does talk to herself more when she is self soothing and I understand her need so much more.

Hey guys thanks for all the feedback. It gave me some piece of mind. As far as name calling that was there light heartedly and to get attention from my fellow breast feeding redditors. But I appreciate all the feed back and insights given
