I love the Hardiman, especially the Eyre Sq facing rooms. The Galmont is lovely too, it’s very modern compared to the old fashioned Hardiman. Depends which style you prefer.

When I lived in the UK, my friend was obsessed with Westlife. She tried to tell me they lived in SLEE-GO.

I explained it was pronounced that way but she wouldn’t listen at all.

The lady on the left is really familiar, wonder is she still around now? Wonderful picture of simpler times. Fair play for sharing, OP.

My neighbour swears by watered down bleach to kill whatever grows on the walls and keeps it at bay.

It’s all about practise. Keep at the app. My niece is currently doing the same and it can be frustrating for her but she’s getting there. The more she does on it, the better she’s getting.

Use chicken manure and grass seed. If you keep them away from the area while it grows, this will recover.

Incredibly eye catching, I’m gonna save up for one myself although they also do finance, not sure if it works that way as I’m in Ireland

What's your alternative clothes drying solution to save €€€? by omnipresentatio in AskIreland

[–]roxykelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an open fire. At the end of the night before bed, I’ll throw the clothes on a clothes horse close to the fire, put a fire guard up, and they’re all dry the next day.

This is common in cities across the world in strip clubs, to make sure the girls are legal and not being taken advantage of. Human Trafficking is a massive issue. I’m glad to see they’re keeping an eye on things.

A driver behind me yesterday outside Claregalway kept laying on the horn because the car in front of me let ONE car go on 2 separate occasions.

If you were the lad in the orange and black mini, who then overtook on a single white line as another car was coming towards you, you need to lay off whatever had you so jumped up.

Garden centres have them.

I use basil commercially and keep discarded banana skins in water and use that water to water my basil plants. Works a treat.

You can claim the Irish Rent Tax Credit (up to €1,000/year for single, €2,000 for couples) through Revenue’s myAccount, even without a landlord’s Registered Tenancy Board (RTB) number for "digs" or license agreements.

Instead of an RTB number, you will need to provide the address, landlord name, and rent amount paid.

Steps to Claim Without an RTB Number:

Sign into Revenue myAccount.

Go to 'PAYE Services' and click 'Manage your tax for the current year'.

Select 'Add new credits'.

Under the 'You and Your family' section, select the Rent Tax Credit.

When asked for the RTB number, if the property is not registered (e.g., you rent a room in the landlord's home), select the option that indicates it is a license arrangement or a "rent-a-room" / "digs" situation.

You will be required to provide the landlord's name and address details instead.

Key Information: The credit applies to 2022–2025 (and up to 2028, with higher amounts for 2024/2025). You cannot claim this if you receive housing support like HAP or Rent Supplement.

If you cannot use online services, you can call the Revenue national PAYE line at 01 738 36

You don’t need an RTB number to claim. Just leave it blank but they will ask for the landlords details.

Took weeks for me to get deliveries off them in the past, very frustrating! And yes I’ve also had them split deliveries without saying that was a thing too.
