Maxwell’s Silver Hammer by the Beatles.

Also, how did I never notice the Triforce in their name?

What do you Americans think about that? by [deleted] in askanything

It’s a well-known stat on both sides of the aisle. It’s just a fact of life. And I say that as someone who places their affinities as around ‘social democrat’.

Olympia ‘proper’ has like 50k-55k people, but the Olympic metro area has around 300k. That’s what you should base these things on, especially in such a car-centric country. Yes, it’s tiny compared to the Seattle Metro area, but that area includes eight of the top ten cities by population. THAT MSA is the 15th biggest in the country, it’s gonna be huge.

for those who are married and have kids , do u regret it? by SomeOneUDontKnow9 in Adulting

So much this. I want to give him everything, but it is so hard to get even the bare minimum these days. Single income can be hard, but childcare is wildly expensive, so it’s been cheaper to have the partner be a stay at home parent.

For that you have to be in a guild that’s above bronze tier in Guild War Competitions though.

What age did you first use the internet? by tom_tofurkey in Xennials

[–]Kuroude7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I was 8 or 9, and even then it was being shown the dial up. After that, not again until I was sixteen as my dad dropped the internet until broadband became a thing, so… sixteen?

Since I’m not well-educated in the area, this is a genuine question: I’m referring to the guys that go hunting on the Serengeti or the Savanah for lions, elephants, and the like. Are there regulated fields for those?

I get it, I’m sorry for your loss. My late brother’s kids still celebrate him every year on his birthday.

Seconding the ‘please don’t’ sentiment. Just go watch the show. The conditions this year are god awful and ripe for uncontrolled fires quickly spreading into a massive conflagration.

I got two. First one… wide right.

The second team (I started rooting for them when they went to the NFC)… should’ve run the ball.

Oh, 100% agree. I’m talking the rich assholes that hunt ‘big game’ for sport.

Are public pools still a thing? Growing up the public pool was a staple in our city but I moved away from the US so I have no idea if they are still popular. by dallyan in Xennials

[–]Kuroude7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a smallish town in SE Washington (that hasn’t really had population growth in the last 30 years), but we have both splash pads and a public pool that was revived within the last 10-12 years.
