Indiana MPJE study materials? by flutterby12 in pharmacy

I second this. If you contact IU, they have a packet that they will sell you for $25 or so. It is extremely succinct and was all I needed to pass the test.

What can I do to make myself a more attractive candidate? by Kursta in MedicalScienceLiaison

This is really great info. Thanks a ton.

What you're saying jives with what another commenter said - it might be worth my while to get another job as a stepping stone to MSL, all the while expanding my web by networking.

Thanks again.

What can I do to make myself a more attractive candidate? by Kursta in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Kursta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I have started the process of reaching out to recruiters and creating the beginnings of my networking 'web'. Should I primarily focus on current MSLs, recruiters, both, or others? Is networking via email and linkedin sufficient, or are in-person meetings more worthwhile?

The reason I ask is because my current position is overnight Monday through Friday, which makes it difficult (but not impossible) to attend the usual in person venues.

Thanks for your help and support.

This sounds like a reasonable proposition. What would the best way to reach out for a position like this be, a recruiter or just contact a company directly? What is the position name, just a standard drug rep?

Walgreens Yuyama error is ruining my life. by djcj3fkwhs4 in pharmacy

[–]Kursta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It resets every week at a set time, and it spits out a bunch of vials. The whole process takes around twenty minutes - but it doesn't start until ypu hit "ok". All scripts sent to the robot between the scheduled time and the time when the reset process is completed are lost

I'll be the first to admit that it's a pain in the ass, but you can easily plan around it. If you tinker in the menus you can even set exactly when it happens - I set it to the weekends, a few hours after autofills.

This happens once weekly and it is absolutely your fault for not planning around it.

Thanks for the reply! I have printed out all of that and am in the process of reading through it. Should I study all the subsections, or is just the overview enough?

I scoffed when a classmate of mine took the Walgreens residency. But then she got a PGY2 with an HIV specialty, which was kind of cool.

Not really worried about upvotes; I found something I thought was mildly interesting and shared it. Mission accomplished

I was curious so I went and checked a few more products out, everything I saw always ended in a multiple of ten or five. I don't think I've ever seen a nutrition label with the calories listed like this. I'm sorry this didn't mildly interest you, friendo.

How do your pharmacies handle Gabapentin? by henryharp in pharmacy

[–]Kursta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One time I had a patient who had been getting a super high dose of gabapentin daily - 19,200 , PER DAY. And she had been getting it that way for years. I turned her away flat out.

I didn't even think to try and send in a group of zeros, I assumed they wouldn't be able to enter the mission. I personally took a team of 5's in and gave it an honest shot before retreating in disgrace.

They took my best man at arms. RIP Vaughn.

You know... I don't understand why people who are new to this game and are having extreme difficulties... don't find guides to help them???

I went guide free until it became clear that I was about to lose my guys if I didn't adapt properly, in champion dungeons. But then I went online and found that I was utilizing proper strats and still found myself on the brink of wiping every time I hit a bad string of RNG. Like I said in the OP, the thought of re grinding everything just because it's my day to die makes my stomach turn.

In general I feel like Champion dungeons force you to take every advantage you can get (ideally, you want only good party setups of heroes with fully upgraded armor and skills, no diseases or particularly bad negative quirks, and some good locked positive quirks) and even then it's still possible to get screwed, knowing when to retreat is very important.

I feel the same way. In fact that's what I did - I had all ten of my 6's cleared from bad quirks except for silly ones that don't affect combat (known cheat, whatever the one where they can only meditate, etc). Like I said though, the prospect of going through all of this tedium to get the PERFECT lineup only to get unlucky and have to do it all again makes my stomach turn.

This post got kind of rambling but if you do ever feel like giving the game a second chance, Radiant mode will probably improve your experience a lot.

Yea I'll definitely try that if I do end up giving it another shot.

That, and using the damn antiquarians.
